Cuddle, and making sure he doesn't roll over on his tummy.

Some days are a total waste of makeup.

Good morning everybody! Cataract surgery went well. The only complaint I had was the tape on the shield I wore right after the surgery and will wear at night for a week. It is amazing that the surgery can be done with no pain. I have some swelling so it will take awhile before my vision stabilizes.

You'll be amazed at the improvement - especially how much more vividly colors will appear!!

Application development and support. Or, more simply put, computer geekery.

Good morning PWA, and a great Fry-day to you all!

AZGman wrote:You'll be amazed at the improvement - especially how much more vividly colors will appear!!

I forget where I read about it -- but the while vivid color thing apparently is due to the fact that some people actually have receptors (rods? cones?) in their eyes that can process light at the edge of the ultraviolet range. You just don't know if you have them or not until after cataract surgery, since the natural cornea filters out so much of the UV.

Not everyone gets the vivid colors after surgery though. Apparently an easy way to see if you have the "super" vision is to look at a lit blacklight bulb. If it looks like a standard fluorescent to the naked eye, but is dark when viewed through a UV filtering lens, then you just might be one of the vivid folks.

Sigh...Sometimes I wonder about people. when given a list of instructions, WHY do some people think it's ok to do them out of order?

Mom called. Her cable box isn't working. She won't ask a neighbor for help.

Two neighbors have the key to her garage and store ATV's and jet skis in it. They also use her driveway for their cars and boats.
They do clear her snow. Their snow blower is stored in her garage, the plow is sometimes in her driveway.
This is a win/win for everyone, since anyone watching the house would not think it is an old women living alone.
But, hell, if she calls them to help her fix something an hour or so a month, they are still doing good with the free storage!
A 5x15 storage rental unit is over $200 a month in a storage place here!

I'm going to have to start going twice a week. Ugh.
She also won't consider having the senior citizen bus pick her up for lunch either.

Guess my opthamologist didn't feel it necessary to explain that to me. But all the folks I've spoken with experienced the same thing. Perhaps colors seem more vivid simply because the world had looked so foggy prior to surgery.

That is part of it, but the done eye is always brighter than the other eye for awhile.

Going to play with mom's box.

Why did my stepfather move 3 years before he died? Same distance from me 15 miles.
In the other house she could bother her friends with this stuff.
Plus step dad set up his pension to pay more, but end when he died.
New house's taxes alone would pay for all living expenses in the old house. ALL

See you later.

It's a test script to confirm that a new report has the right formatting. I didn't write it, I'm helping with the 'dry run'.

I'm not optimistic for the real deal.

But the frustrating thing is that we went over everything that he's having problems with yesterday. Didn't even make it to any of the 'new' steps.

Sigh.

You could be like us. The SAs and DBAs ask the developers how to do their own work. Shouldn't they know that already?

He's still working, putting the third coat of mud on the wallboard. Plans on coming tomorrow to do the sanding. That's most of the mess. We can put up the tree then except that there's a 3x6 foot table in the the living room and an 8 foot buffet. We put the tree where there's a large recliner. This is going to be difficult, if not impossible. Also, whatever it is that goes under the tile on the floor is on.
