I do not wake up happy either. I like my bed, it's my happy place. In the morning it is warm and cozy. So each morning demands I leave my happy place in under it's best conditions and go deal with stuff I'd rather avoid.

Not to mention people who seem to leap from their bed seem to have it out for those of us that don't think anything before 10am or lunch is productive time. I hit my stride around 2pm, or I did before the surgery, now I'm still tired a lot and afternoon naps are a huge temptation.

Being functionally blind without correction, no glasses hasn't been an option since I was younger than Ver1. The day they handed me glasses, they said you better not take these off, for anything other than sleep.

My programmer friend who is adamently against progressives, recommended using the main lens and keeping the laptop back. I've been doing that anyway, but maybe as I adjust to the reading lens I can move it forward. I'm used to it being a little blurry anyway.

If I'm just going to be at the computer for a long while, I have some cheap reading glasses that's the same as my middle prescription (halfway between my reading & distance). I can read most things on paper with these but I wouldn't read a book with them.

If I don't adjust I might have to look into that. I was thinking of that this morning.

I actually like getting up early to exercise. But, I don't like leaving my cuddly warm bed, so it's a conundrum.

Feeling not so great. Have a pain in my belly that's been getting worse since yesterday, and I suspect I'm getting a sinus infection. Bleah.

Looks like a pretty damp morning for a lot of our Texas wooters.

add one more tally for the "not really functional before 10am" column. Although I am currently making a conscious effort to try to become more of a morning person.

My workplace is nice in that the hours have a little slop to them; so long as we work a full 8 hours which include the "core" 9 to 4, the actual in/out/lunch times are pretty much at our own discretion. However, I've recently come to realize that as much as I like the traffic and wakefulness of doing 9 to 6, it doesn't leave as much time with the family in the evening. plus those mornings where daughter is up and out of bed and begging me to stay home as I'm trying to get out the door are really tough too.

Uggh, that makes slipping on the black ice this morning and looking like a beginning ice skater for 30 seconds seem like nothing!

Not used to sleeping with toes in my back. Not being able to put the sleeping boy in his crib may be a bigger deal than I thought it would be.
