we grill all year long.. out in the rain, in the wind.. no matter. I could live without my range... not without my grill/barbeque

What Contemptible Scoundrel stole the cork from my lunch??

@thumperchick has it right - my stand mixer is essential to creating anything worth eating in my kitchen. my kitchenaid is my best friend (which maybe says more about me than my mixer, but whatever).

I have none of these fancy cooking appliances... I feel the need to run out and get some! I would love a food processor but have nowhere to store it/limited counter space.

Full-size toaster oven. When it's 100 degrees outside the last thing you want to do is turn on the oven to heat up the house. The toaster oven cooks the food without cooking us. We use ours at least once a day - quesadillas, grilled sandwiches, reheating leftovers, making dinner.

i love my rice steamer, but it's not the kind you can get now. it's a charleston rice cooker that i use on the stove top. i can also steam veggies in it, use it as a double boiler, use the bottom only as a stock pot. it's my husband's grandmother's old rice cooker, and i wish i could get a newer, slightly heavier one. i'd also get a second for my mil. anyone know where to get a charleston rice cooker outside of charleston?

Another vote for the multi-purpose electric pressure cooker. My Cuisinart 6 in one is invaluable! it has totally replaced the use of a slow cooker in my house. Runner up would be my Bosch kitchen machine, aka stand mixer/blender.

NuWave oven and Turbo Cooker! Both items cook things in half the time and you don't have to thaw your frozen meats out and everything tastes so fresh! Not like the microwave - yuck. I have two of each, one for home and one for the RV.

Not an appliance. I'd never cook at all if it weren't for my kids. I'd eat microwave food or PB&Js or cereal for pretty much every meal. I HATE cooking. But I hate the idea of filling my kids full of unknown junk even more!

I'm interested in learning how to do that, since I may be moving to a much smaller dwelling without the full size stove I've always had. Any tips would be most welcome!
