This thread looked interesting. Getting ready for a possible visit from Isaac. Friends from church coming over tomorrow to help pick up and store all loose items - potential projectials.

First time for me. Back in the 70's when we lived here before my family went through a nasty one. They had already sent me back north for health reasons.

Changing the bulbs on son's ceiling fan and it's an unusual light with a full cover that you had to remove completely. It's over his waterbed. I'm balancing on a 1.5" frame with him holding me. I don't balance well. It was hilarious. Got it all done and the fan didn't work. Crap! Take it all apart again... nothing. See this piece hanging out of the middle of the light pole (where you screw on the cover) so I pull it. It clicks, the fan starts, and hits me in the head (gently, at least). Put it all back together.
