What's a like button? I use Google+ and we have this super novel, nifty and neat thing called a +1. I still, for the life of me, can't figure out what I'm supposed to do with it... so instead I just comment "me too" on everything I see that I like (er, um... when I think "me too").

What finish does this have? The bathroom I'm looking at replacing the shower in has all brushed nickel hardware. Is this going to look silly?

What is the gpm (gallons per minute)?

Do we know what the Gallons per Minute is on this one? The last one I bought was only 2.5 and it just isn't sufficient...

In for one. Just bought a new place that has an occasional-use shower that this will be perfect for (after taking TT's advice and removing the flow restrictor).

My question exactly! So many shower heads and faucets these days appear to be chrome - but are actually just cheap plastic (which later breaks) covered by chrome.

I think turning into a popsicle was a close second to being a bicycle seat in hormone-fueled teenaged-male discussions.

This is tempting... too bad the hose is only 59" (4.9 ft) long. I never buy a shower head with less than a 6 ft. hose as I need the max length to bathe the dog in the tub. Bummer

Watch out, the hose on these starts to leak rather soon after installation. They look nice but are very cheaply made.

I myself am inquiring not due to a short shower arm, but due to a shower caddy already in-use. It is the type of caddy that hangs from a shower arm. I think there must be others who also use such caddies and might like to know. Knowing whether the showerhead handle holder/assembly provides enough extension to allow enough clearance for the handheld showerhead’s hose to hang and be used without interference is helpful for a customer, so it can be determined whether a shower arm extension also needs to be purchased. If an extension does need to be bought separately, it would add to the $25 cost of replacing an existing showerhead with this model.

Thank you in advance.

I have had several versions of shower head with the hose and movable head. I haven't been able to use shower caddies with any combination of hosed shower head and shower. I have been able to use a big robe hanger that screws into the wall and put the shower caddy on the opposite side of the shower though.

I came here because of this as well. After having a plastic bodied shower wand and it breaking within a year I will never buy plastic again.

I would really like to buy this but only if it is a metal body.

So check it out, it's a total info-o-rama up in here.

The Instruction manual has been added under specs tab. Check that bad boy out for questions!

As far as the connectors, the two on the hose are metal. The connectors at the base of the shower heads are plastic.

And finally, the big one for some of you...
The water flow regulators are located at the base of each shower head and can be removed.

If the apparatus is otherwise to your liking and the only shortcoming is the length of the hose, why not buy a high quality replacement hose of a length you prefer from a plumbing supply house. Not only would it be what you want, but since these things all seem to have the same screw-on connectors, you could transfer the preferred hose to any other similar apparatus if/when you change to another one.

All showerheads sold in the US are restricted by law to 2.5 gpm. Certain brands, however, use a removable flow restricter to meet this requirement. According to the above mod post, this model uses the removable kind.

Based on my experience with other similar models, removing the restricter provides plenty of flow... depending on your water pressure, of course.

2.5 is the maximum allowed by Federal law in the U.S.

I'm also wondering if the top head is removable. There's one for about twice as much at BB&B where the top one has a handle that comes down.

To those concerned about the plastic construction, unfortunately it seems that the trend toward plastic removable showerheads is due to people dropping the heavier metal ones and injuring themselves.

It is, that's the whole point of having two heads.

Take a look at the instructions in the specs section, it gives you a good view of the whole assembly.

EDIT: Here's the image I was talking about from the instructions.

It's like we've hopped on the Good News Cruise sailing through the Port of Additional Information, so here's yet another reason to pick one up if you haven't, and an added perk if you have! We've been informed there is a limited lifetime warranty on this product, and not the 1yr you might have been expecting.

Can you turn on both heads at the same time?

djslack wrote:My shower's water pipe is stupidly short. I just measured and there is 1" between the wall and the rear edge of the part that threads on on my current shower head, which is approximately the same as where the downward curve starts on the pipe. I can't really tell from the angle of the photo whether this is likely to fit my shower or not. Anyone know how much clearance it needs behind it for the hose?

I have an "oxygenics" shower head from Bed Bath & Beyond that looks like this one. I checked the clearance for the hose and it should be ok for your short water pipe. The only problem is that while the bottom head is adjustable for angle, the head attached to the hose is not so it would not be aiming at a downward angle. There is an option to use both heads at the same time, but in your case you would need to switch between using each head. And you would need to be careful when switching because the head attached to the hose would shoot water straight out at a 90 degree angle.

My shower head is in the guest bath and everyone who uses it raves about it.

Edit: sorry, the head attached to the hose is indeed adjustable, and clearance issues look to be ok. I'm in for 2 more!

My similar one from BB&Beyond does have the option of turning on each head separately or both at the same time.

Normally any shower heads make less water pressure.
Is that the same happen?

slightlystartled

quality posts: 0 Private Messages slightlystartled

As a man with a wife who like to take joint showers, I need a bit more reassurance. The dual heads can run simultaneously, and the water pressure doesn't become a trickle?

My wife and I are the same height--are these things very adjustable? Having only one shower head has put a serious cap on my co-ed shower experiences.
