Adding my voice to the DON'T BUY THESE chorus. Also, Woot, PLEASE trash the rest of your inventory. These were a complete waste of money...the cartridges don't latch on to the handle, the blades clog, and I get a closer shave with 2 or 3 blade disposables.

OK- I can't let it go at one word after all. This product epitomizes Woot every since Amazon took them over. It sucks. It just sucks. Before Amazon, I was on here every day. I loved looking at just 1 item a day and couldn't wait to see what that item was. Virtually ever product was a home run. High quality goods at great prices. Now Woot, is where I turn from time to time to get some cheap junk. It's very similar to Big Lots online. Every time I see these damn razors come on, I get pissed about my old friend Woot being gone. My old friend Woot would have had some High End, High Tech, British Platinum, Titanium, Super digital blade razor for $84 instead of $150 but it would have been worth every penny.

I bought three of these the first time around and just can't even use them any more. I'm back to the $5 a blade ones and I am no longer complaining about the price.

Like Big Lots, I may be back here from time to time to pick up some cheap holiday ornaments or some useless iPhone accessory that is too cheap to ignore. But I am certainly not turning on my friends to Woot any more and I certainly want to make it abundantly clear that these blades blow and suck at the same time and no matter how cheap, they need to be ignored.

worthless. Ive bought these before. Tried it. Maybe works if you are a pre-pubescent child but worthless otherwise. This is really worthless if you buy it to simply give it a try because its cheap you will end up just tossing it away.

I bought these last time and I think they're fine. I'm not the hairiest animal on the planet, but I do shave every weekday and these do a great job. Plus, I've yet to cut myself.

Ergonomically, I think they have issues...changing blades...handle isn't as grippy as I'm used to.

I do not regret the purchase at all...but it seems I'm in the minority!

Well, the dislikes are outnumbering the likes by about 2:1. That's actually pretty good when you consider the posts we've had in the past and that it's not uncommon for people that like things to not take the time post. (Thank you to those that did.)

Consensus of the positive posts seems to be that the shaving cream/gel makes all the difference.

Oh, and two "Shame on Woot" posts. Can't forget those.

I got these last time they were offered. Oh Woot, what have I ever done that would make you play such a cruel prank on me?

The blades do not even last a single shave. My wife has commented that one side of my face is smooth, the other side isn't shaved very well, with splotchy unshaved patches where I shaved last.

My 5 year old daughter sometimes likes to pretend she's shaving too, so I give her this blade to shave with. Not like she's going to hurt herself with it. ZING!

These are garbage. I ended up throwing my razor and cartridges away after trying for a couple of weeks. The flexible razor makes it seem like you're shaving with mittens on because you have such little control.

It was this razor that finally compelled me to try a doubled edged safety razor and I'll NEVER go back to cartridges again. You can get great double edged blades for just 10 cents per blade and they'll easily last 3 or more shaves.

These shavers work fine for me using cheap, ordinary shaving cream. Prior to lathering with cream, I wash my face with soap and leave it on the face. While shaving, I clean the blades under running water regularly. (5-7 times) When doing this, I rinse out both the front and back of the blades.

I get about three weeks use out of them, shaving five times a week.

When going without shaving for 2-4 days at a time, I find it problematic to use fresh, sharp blades. In that case, I have an extra handle with blades that are less-than-sharp to take off the bulk, before finishing off with sharp blades on my daily shaver handle.

The flexible head thing was a little odd to use at first. But it only takes changing the angle of the handle and amount of pressure to control the results.

KoS shavers are great, IMO. Every time this woot comes up I buy three.

I'm puzzled why there are all the flames about this product. Whatever...

I bought this the last time it rolled around. The 5 blades are too close together and you don't actually get a close shave. Also, they clog, badly. I've tried the opposite swipe. I've tried swishing it in water. I've tried holding it under the sink.

Also, the action of the head is not in a large enough range of motion, so you don't get a good angle on your face.

I use a 3 blade razor and it works MUCH better.

1/5, would not recommend.

Totally agree. I bought these because the "Fusions" are so damned expense, but they were awful and I am now using some disposable mach3's and they are working a lot better than these.

Eh. They're not to shabby.

I'm a lady, so I don't use them on my face. Yet.

The first time I used it, it was a bit like shaving with a backwards fork. Now one week in, I don't really mind it. It works. It's not flashy. It's a razor.

kirk911

quality posts: 1 Private Messages kirk911

There is a reason for the cheap price. So I've always used a Mach3, but got fed up paying $2+ per replacement blade, and decided to give these a shot. The razor itself has an awkward shape. The blades clog immediately. It gives a spotty shave. Replacing the blade is confusing. They suck, don't waste your money.

I bought 3 last time, so I'm going to tough it out and use them all. They aren't absolute poop. They get the job done fairly well. Just not as well as most other standard household brands, like the Gillette Sensor or Schick Quattro.

My main complaint is the weird angle of the blades - hard to get the mustache off underneath the nose. I also just have trouble in general getting a real close shave with this.

What I like most about it is that it's pretty much impossible to cut yourself with these.

To each his own. Won't be buying ever again.

Just wanted to post that I bought three sets the first time they were up. Hated it so much I gave two away. Both people I gave them too said the same thing. Worst razor ever. 7-11 disposable razors will destroy these. 0/5 stars

I have tried two of these razors. I have yet been able to use it once. The razors both broke while attaching the blades. Very cheap. A very small plastic tip holds the blade in place. I'll give it one more try.

Being overseas in Afghanistan please don't send this lol...

I got this strictly to shave my head every 2-3 days, I wasn't concerned about beard shaving at all, I use a no guard electric for that. That being said these suck. I tried with regular shaving cream, shaving lotion, and hell even body gel soap. These clogged after 1 to 2 strokes (about half head length, straight line) and I couldn't get it fully unclogged by running water on both sides while banging it on the sink. Weird... So I grabbed another razor, maybe it was faulty. Nope, same. Grabbed a third and took TINY strokes, clearing it after EACH stroke. Oh that works. I put it down and went back to my Mach 3. Which can do 3-5 full strokes EASY and unclog in seconds in light water flow. My lesson learned

My experiences have been similar to the detractors. They are VERY VERY good at preventing kicks but are crap for a actual shaving. They'll that the longer hairs off but in some spots of my face they just will not shave closely enough no matter how many times I go over it. I had to break out my old mach 3 to get a smoother shave

There must be a reason why you see these razors here quite often... not the best product...

I bought these last time and it was a huge disappointment.. perhaps I've been spoiled by Gillette's Fusion products, but, If you normally use other generic brands.. these might be OK for you..

I concur. I purchased this item from a previous woot and they are total junk. An old blade used 3 months prior and 10X longer works better than this crap.

anytime these razors come up the comments are hilarious.

no idea how anyone can tell if the blades are too close or not. this razor works just like every other one i've used in my life.

i shave in the shower every other day and use excessive shave gel. only 4 cartridges into the 30 I ordered, otherwise i'd consider buying another set.

From a lady's perspective- these razors are great for leg and other... shaving. The angle of the head is a bit different than I was used to for armpits, but after re-adjusting, it became a non-issue. I like it as much as my far more expensive lady shavers. I cannot vouch for faces, though. Haven't tried that.

Count me as one of the minority that doesn't have a problem. I agree that they're not as good a Sensor, but for this price they're fine.

It does require holding the handle at a shallower angle than other razors. If you try holding it at a normal angle and try to make the head pivot, it won't work.

I also have had minimal problem with it clogging. I use Edge gel and swish it out in the sink (filled with hot water).

We've got all the people who hated it now; where is the "Get a Mac!"... I mean, "Get a safety razor!" crowd?

Dooonnnn ya do it, Baba-looey!

The blades are too close together for anything more than a day's growth to get through, so you end up scraping 2-3X more than you do a Mach 3. Then you can't get them unclogged for the same reason.

I have to throw some love just to deflect the nay-sayers. Finally got around to using these last night, and they were fantastic. My boyfriend is a hairy guy and I have the unenviable task of being the back/neck groomer. AND I *loved* them for my legs. These don't clog up nearly as badly as the Venus razors (HATED THOSE) and after getting accustomed to the strange handle, it provided a comfortable, flexible, close shave.

Oh, and we're fans of using conditioner instead of shaving cream or gel in my house - one less bottle to keep in the shower.

I have a coarse beard and do not find that the blades clog at all. Maybe they clog more for finer beards. However, the razor takes some getting used to because you have to hold it at a certain angle or it just doesn't work well. Now that I'm used to it I find it to work pretty well and to be worth the money. It works better than a 2-blade razor but the shave is not as close or spotless as with a Fusion.

I bought this the last time it was available, tried it one time, and went right back to my Gillette Fusion razor. The razors yanked at my stubble, the shave wasn't great, there was a learning curve for using the darn thing, and it just wasn't worth the hassle. Also, it cut me. The first time a new razor blade cut me in over 10 years. At $7.99 plus shipping, this is overpriced.

These are the worst razors I've ever had. Look like a great idea, awesome price, couldn't get them to cut air. I bought 3 of them from 1saleaday figuring for the price it was the same as buying a single refill pack of Mach 5's. Not even close.

Well after slugging through all these reviews(and laughing at all the hate), I think I'll go in for 3 sets. I keep a beard and only shave my neck twice a week. I use an electric razor to get it trimmed down then finish it off with a razor. I'm used to using decent shaving cream/gel and tend to obsessively clean my razors under high pressure water after every stroke anyways (since they are so damn expensive I want to get maximum use out of each one)

Also the g/f could use one in the shower for her shaving needs as well since she usually buys the absolute cheapest disposables she can find I'm sure these will work just fine for her.

You can't compare these to the 16 dollar 4 pack of razors because these are not the same price point at all.

That'd be like comparing an excellent $18 Kobe beef burger from a decent restaurant to a $3 Fast Food Burger. Sure they are both burgers but you can't really knock one for not being as good at the other.
