How many of you are trying to shave you head with a razor designed for the contours and skin of your face? It's like complaining that a toaster does a poor job of cooking lasagna.

I can't believe all the complaining about buying the Fusion or Mach 3 etc. blades...so $2 a cartridge is too much for you? Really and they last a few weeks? Too much to pay for a great shave?
With the amount of time you spend reading woot comments and deciding on if this is a good deal you could have sold that Mr. Spock doll or Kirk Cameron signed photo on Ebay and bought a years supply of Fusion Blades.
Really folks talk off your lightsaber, put your 3d glasses away and toss that Mochiatta to the side and go buy a friggin real razor blade at the store.
Oh and if your really are over the top for not wanting to spend all that dough on a razor cartridge go buy your Sunday Paper for $1.50 as they always have a $5 off coupon in the inserts.

The "one perfect razor" is a myth.
The perfect shave is close enough to look good, while not so close that you get razor-burn. Each brand seeks to strike that balance.
For some beards, it is a bad choice, for other the right one.
Similarly, shaving creams and other preparations try to balance adding comfort and lubrication with over-moisturizing (causing breakout, etc.) Depending on your skin and the time of year you may either get zits or dry looking skin. I can use a LOT more moisturizing in winter in Minnesota than summer in Florida!
Then there is user error. Not sufficiently soaking the beard, fattening the hair stubble, etc.
So whether I get a decent shave with these units (which I do) and you don't is not a blanket condemnation or praise of the product. I doesn't work for you, just as a Norelco doesn't work for me.
And, if customer service history is any guide, usually it is the unhappy campers who write in and complain.
Make sense?

I got a set of these the last time they were on Woot, and I found myself rocking a five o'clock shadow on my face around 11 AM in the morning.
Oh, and forget using these if you have a few days of stubble growth on your face, as they literally won't cut it.
That is in your case, not mine. I often don't shave on Sat-Sun when I don't leave the house (give my face a break), and I get a good shave on Monday morning.

These are HORRIBLE!!!
The baldes are too close, they clog and are impossible to clean. PLEASE DO NOT BUY THESE!!!!
If you don't believe me, just wait for more reviews from others who have wasted their money on this garbage!!! Or scroll back and read reviews when they were offered in the past.
WOOT...YOU SUCK for continuing to seel these after all the complaints you received about them.
What kind of stuff are you using on your face? Superglue? A lot of non-foam tube products contain mineral oil, which will clog up anything---unless you are taking it internally, in which case the opposite happens. [joke #3]

cosmictrucker wrote:Good post, but I couldn't help but notice you completely ignored the number one complaint with this product, and it's the fact there is a design flaw that causes the blades to clog with shavings.
I wasn't able to even get one complete shave from these.
My mistake was in thinking if it's a 5 blade design, it must be as good as any other. Not true for this razor, and you know it.
For whatever reason, clogging has not been an issue for me. I honestly think that the clogging depends on the shaving "cream" used.
I ended up getting some Remington shave prep (made in the UK!) from their site. They have unscented with menthol and it is non-greasy (no mineral oil). There is an extra moisture version (claimed for sensitive skin) but my particular skin is much better off not doing that much moisturizing. I also really don't like the big moisturizing strips found on a lot of brands.
I think men are so passionate about this, as they need to do it every day.
I hated shaving so much that I had a beard for 10 years. But it was the 70's and, along with the wire-rimmed glasses, I looked like 90% of the guys walking around and was often mistaken for other people.
All you could see was the beard and the wire rims. (The blue chambray work shirt and jeans completed the effect.)

I don't understand all the negative comments. I bought the maximum amount the last time around, and I've used them now for a couple of months. As others have said, they aren't the greatest shaver you can buy, but for the money, they are absolutely the BEST value I have ever seen in a shaver. I haven't had the clogging problem others mention, but I agree the blade attachment mechanism is a bit clunky. Bottom line is: Close shave, No cuts, Ultra-cheap. What's not to like?
