Before June 30, 2010, It was accepted that once in awhile woot!'s buyers would muff up and buy a worthless product.

But since Amazon is woot!'s parent company, my tolerance level isn't as generous as it once was.

I bought these last time, my husband is always looking for the perfect razor. He said these are kind of like scraping ice from your windshield with a donut... However, they work well on my legs, so I'm set for life!

Search my previous or read others ..... these SUCK! Long hair will clog it. Short hair will clog it. Can't fit under nose. Blades dull quickly. Waste of money at any price!!

Did ya read the post that said "DO NOT BUY"?
Good advise

Agreed: DO NOT BUY!!

If woot were to put these in their Bags of Crap they would give Crap a bad name.

woot, you really should be listening to customer feedback and if there is overwhelming response to how absolutely useless something is, you have a responsibility to react to that.

In for three more sets...less than the cost of one pack those popular over-engineered refills.

Serious question: How does the ethnicity of the user affect performance?

We are (happily) a diverse country and skin types may vary by ethic origin or mix thereof.

For example, has anyone tried those male depilatory preparations?

I've often wished for a cream that you could apply, wait five minutes and wipe off, leaving no beard. But I am told that the current brands are too harsh for a lot of skin types.

acpress.com Not cute, but useful.

I bought this last time. No complaints about leg shaving, but shaving the stuff that needs pressure (your hrmhrm for example), the flexible head sucks otherwise I like it!

Good to know that they replaced the broken blade. I dropped mine and it also broke - seems like a design flaw.

For those who shave in the shower -- this is NOT the razor for you. Handle is very attractive and chrome. And cannot be held when wet. And then there's whole breaks when dropped thing.

DarkZrobe wrote:I bought them last round and they seem alright. Not as close of a shave as my 5 bladed one but the price was nice.

I did drop the handle and broke the clips that hold the razor on. Was quite bummed considering I hadnt even gone through one cartridge. I contacted remmington/king of shaves folks and they prombtly sent me a new handle with extra blades no questions asked. That was nice.

As for those who say they clog. Its easy to unclog razor like this or your five bladed ones. Just swipe the razor against your arm or other body parts in the opposite dirrection and it removes all the gunk.

It's like they say... you get what you pay for. And hey, at least you're sanctimonious about it.

Everyone knows if you want a close shave you need SIX blades.

You get what you pay for and these cannot hold a candle to mach 5's or quarto's. Think of these as disposable razor quality. They clog easily and don't stay sharp very long. I was disappointed.

I feel a responsibility to my fellow man to post every time these are offered.

If you have a heavy beard, or do not shave daily, DO NOT BUY. This is a horrible, horrible razor.

I definitely wouldn't recommend these for shaving your head. I go through razors like mad, so this looked like a good deal. But there's too much flex at the head of the razor and they clog easily. If you have soft fleshy jowls, these might be for you.

I bought these last time around because I thought the deal was great, but I wish I had read the reviews. They dull quickly and clog up right away. Like, three shaves quickly. Running water or wiping the blades will not unclog them. Also, the handle design is pretty awkward to get used to.

They are cheap, but at the rate you'll go through these, and the annoyances, you're not coming out ahead.

Purchased these on woot a while ago and have stopped using them after one shave. As others have stated the blades are so close together that when it does remove facial hair, the hair will get lodged in between the blades and becomes difficult to remove.

Skip these unless you have very fine hair.

They are good for manscaping but if you have anything more than a few days on your face it takes a little more time to get through due to cleaning the blades that clog with every stroke. They are cheap and until mine run out I'll use them without regret.

Got some of these on a previous deal and my girlfriend gets all excited as she watches me shave with the cool European shaver.

But once the action starts she quickly put off by the amount of stubble left by these crappy heads. Horrible.

Special procedures might help, but you know, why can't they just make things that work as they are supposed to, out of the box?

WORST EVER!!! Typically I do not write reviews unless extremely happy or in this case displeased. I bought two of these due to price and early reviews the last time they were offered. After attempted use both my wife and I agreed that the cheapest disposable is a better shave and value than the self proclaimed 'king of shaves'. Absolute junk!

can ladies use this? for lady shaving?

These razors are by far the worst I have ever used. Maybe it's because I have used a Fusion since I received one in the mail on my 18th birthday, maybe it's because the blades clog upon contact.

Don't buy them they are no good! If you want cheap, get a safety razor and double edge safety razor blades. It takes learning how to do it but you will never get a closer shave and the price is amazing!

The fact is: Woot sucks in a big way after the Yahoo or whatever buy-out. These busy screens, etc, trying to sell everything under the sun, including these razors. You'd think that the previous owner would object to some of these changes. My purchases are down 80 - 90 %, especially in the wine category.

Well there are certainly mixed opinions about these. Personally I got the closest shave ever from these. Are they perfect...of course not. The ergonomic design needs a little help, like a handle that has some grip to it. Otherwise I'm very pleased with these and at the price offered on Woot you can't go wrong. I'll keep stocking up as long as they offer them.

I bought two sets of these a while back. Because the cost of refills are soo high, it seemed like a great deal.. They're awful though. They clog instantly. Maybe for someone that shaves every day (then the whiskers are very small) as opposed to my once a week (sensitive skin) these would work out. I have an old tooth brush that I use to clean out razor refills, but these blades are soo close together that even the brush can't unclog them well.

You get what you pay for. The price and 5 blades are very enticing but there is a reason the blades are on sale. The design is just awkward, awkward awkward awkward. the blades get the job done but ironically after 2 or 3 more strokes than a average 3 bladed razor.

Don't bother. Blades rust, lousy shave. Not just my opinion but also my husband's. Cheeeep, but definitely not worth it. Anyone want some extra blades?!

bought this thinking it was a great deal, however after trying it for awhile I went back to my old razor. The handle/blade combo is just not comfortable or user friendly to shave. The blades do get clogged and that adds to the problem. Yes, great price but the experience is just not worth it IMHO

I bought these a few months back on Woot. They are probably more useful for shaving legs than shaving your face. If you do a clean shave they might be ok, but the five blades make them hard to do detail work on your face. They backing also falls off the handle so don't drop it. I tried them a few times and then gave them to my wife.

markriddle

quality posts: 4 Private Messages markriddle

First the blades, IF you have light beard, are a lady shaving your legs or are a contortionist with your arms/hands then these blades may suffice. If you have any beard thickness at all, see all other comments about clogging, not lasting, lack of quality, etc. I DID find a cure for the damn things...if you plug in a high pressure steamer next to the sink, it will keep the blades clean and make them last longer, trouble is i don't want my bathroom any steamier than it already is just to get a better shave. Sorry, Woot; Like many others I will buy inexpensive stuff for less than crap on the street would sell, but Amazon (who I happen to like as a retailer) has ruined this site with overcrowding, stuff no one really wants and inferior merch such as this. Sorry 1/5 and big thumbs down

braun self cleaning electric razor, nuff said. Spend $200, and its a closer shave than any hand razor I have ever used, and I can do it while driving to work. The straight electric razor beats the hell out of those triple circular razors everyday of the week. I've had it for nearly 10years, got it for xmas in '03. Been thru 2 blades, after its done cleaning, you take the cleaning cartridge out and recap it, lasts forever.

I couldn't imagine using anything less civilized.

For whatever it's worth at this point I will add my voice to the "DON'T BUY" chorus here.

I think I bought these the second time they were offered, when only a few folks had received and reviewed these. I figured people who weren't happy were comparing them to other multi-blade cartridge systems and that they still had to be better than the cheap generic double-blade disposables I usually buy.

I thought wrong.

Believe the hate-hype. The design on these is simply defective.

To add insult to injury, the blade packages (the ones I got anyway) have big "STOLEN FROM WALGREENS" theft-control stickers on them* -- which is both tacky and disconcerting. These were so bad WALGREENS wouldn't sell them.

*This will make, by the way, the third time I've pointed this out in various Woot forums with no official acknowledgement or response. My wife still thinks Woot is now selling stuff from "redirected" tractor-trailers or something.
