I bought the lunch box sets of lock and lock, and a smaller set, and have not had any problems with the tabs coming off. We are pretty rough on our sets, put them in the dishwasher, freeze them, kids drag them around, they are wonderful.

For those who are asking...the 8th bullet states;
The design of the containers allows for them to be stacked helping you save space in your refrigerator, freezer, cupboard and drawers

I know that technically doesn't mean they nest, but look at the shape it certainly looks like they may.

I agree with previouse reply that they might not have been Lock n Lock. I can tell you that, for a fact, the Snapware sets of plastic containters are not worth the $. They are the ones that I had numerous tabs snap off right out of the box. They never even made it to having any food item in them. I had washed them and was putting them away in my cabinets. Snap, snap - off came tab. But I have NEVER had this issue with Lock n Lock. Love them!!

I have this set:

Will these lids fit some of my current containers and vice versa?

The ones with the 1-inch or so "ridge" at the top look like they might be the nesting ones. Can anyone at WOOT tell us for certain?

Someone went to check our sample and agrees with you that some of the containers do nest.

We didn't get much information on this set from the vendor. Sorry that was missed.

MORE INFO: All pieces NEST together except for the 2 square containers. The ridges on the bottom are ideal for storing meats and cheeses to keep the air circulating, or for use to marinate food.

I need to get a birthday gift for my SIL. Would you consider this a good gift? Or would you be more like, "Oh, you got me plastic storage containers for my kitchen -- gee thanks"? She's a busy working mom who has to come home and cook and clean, so I'm thinking she'd appreciate something like this. I just hate giving gifts that could be lumped into the same category as an iron, vacuum cleaner, etc.

As parent of two elementary aged boys these are wonderful. They have reduced cleanups 100% , any other type of storage containers and sooner or later the boys would drop or misplace one in or on the way to or from the fridge and it would be necessary to empty (or partially) the fridge to clean up. Another advantage is the tabs work easy enough that a four year old can open and close no problem. So they make great portable snack containers.
Just realized fridge hasnt needed cleaning since last summer when before it was a monthly and sometimes weekly chore. Thanks lock-n-lock and woot for letting me know about these.
Definitely in for a larger sizes set.

Yeah, this will be my 4th set. It's hard to not buy them! They are amazing. Plus my containers keep vanishing.

I have had no issues with tabs breaking or durability. Love these!

webgenie wrote:The major draw for these items are the fact that they are so solidly made AND they do not contain BPA but secondly the way that they seal. As noted above (thank you so much for the advice about warm water) when they are put into the fridge or freezer they create a vacuum seal with a rubber gasket. I cannot say enough good things about these sets. I don't care if they nest I store EVERYTHING in them. everything comes out of containers and goes into my lock and lock. this makes my cabinets look so neat and organized. I never seem to have enough Lock and Lock!

I cant stop buying them. I resisted the last woot offering but broke down this time. They are wonderful and I want to use them for everything.!!!!!

I really want the smaller set, but they keep on selling out before I get a chance to buy it =P I don't know what I'd do with these larger sizes =(

The larger containers are great for pantry organization. I store things like tea, pasta, oatmeal, dark chocolate bars, cup of soup packets and so much more. I like to keep a well-stocked pantry, and now it's much easier to find things.

I also transport treats to work in the larger containers (cookies, brownies, etc) to share with my co-workers and committee members. It's a great way to inspire meeting attendance!

I was in for one set almost as soon as it was listed. I thought about it and added a second set this morning.

Thanks so much! I had hoped I was right...I ordered last night on the chance that I was, for fear of them being sold out this morning. LOL! These sizes are just what I was looking for...most containers are bigger than the ones in the nesting sets I already own, and now I can replace the few larger ziploc ones that are still hanging around here! Woohoo! Love my Lock & Locks!

Just joining the chorus of L&L lovers. I have at least 4 sets, but they are mostly small ones, and I was thrilled to see big ones. I don't care what color they are. I too use them for everything.

And they don't leak. I gave some to a family member for Christmas--she likes to take soup for lunch, and after it spilled in her tote bag one day, figured she needed these.

At any given time more of mine are in use than not, so storing them isn't a big issue.

After the L&L online store went away I was afraid they would disappear from Woot too--glad I was wrong!

Are you sure they're Lock & Lock brand? I've seen a different brand at Costco. I once received one broken, and they sent me a new one right away.

I could not resist...heck, I haven't been able to resist Woot's Lock and Locks. Storage room is disproportionately L&L.
These are fab. Great for food, for craft supplies, organize junk drawer, hang on Christmas tree...
I am in for two.

Please help me out, kind WootFolk. The drainage lattice on the largest rectangle pieces... are they removable for easy cleaning? If not, that would seem to be one heckuva trap for grimy nasties. Thanks in advance.

I was worried about the tabs snapping off too. I can only speak for our experience, but we haven't lost a tab yet, and upon further inspection, they all still look good with no signs of wear.

Yes, we do use them. ;)

Do you garden? Awesome! That means that little tiny gnomes trek through your yard and steal all your fruits and vegetables when you sleep at night! You can fix it though... just by buying a set of these lock and lock boxes!! Heck, buy three. THIS IS MY THIRD SET PURCHASED!! When your gardening goodies are ready for picking... just pluck, stick into the container, seal it up, and throw into your freezer. Gnomes hate the cold. :-)

Have been looking at these all day. I could use them to organize all kinds of 'stuff' in my office, but think they might be overkill, since I really don't need tight seals. And I'm not thrilled with the colors. I have bought lock n lock in the past (yes, I'm sure it was REAL lock n lock) and have had tabs break off, and a couple of corners split/chipped. Still, for the price....

Bought these for my mother for Christmas. They are great containers, and lock + seal amazingly, but she didn't like the fact that the set comes with primarily small ones and also the fact they don't nest.

These DO nest... bullet #2 and, this set is NOT primarily small ones... obviously the set she had is irrelevant, as she loved the quality, which is all that matters since she had a totally different set... sounds like you should get her THIS set if you love her and want to make her very happy!

Lock & Locks are the perfect containers for geocaching. They come in enough sizes and shapes to allow hiding in almost any environment.

I try and pick up a set whenever woot has these on their sites. Today, in for two. Thanks.

I received my order today! I have never had L&L storage containers before. They all arrived in good condition. The storage containers all feel sturdy and the colors are beautiful.

Good news: all of these containers nest except for the two medium sized (and really square) containers. I am pleased these nest, they will take up much less room this way!
