Why sweep your problems under the rug when you can wrap them up in it instead?

"Ravitzky!"

Mike looked up from his cot as the guard was opening the door to his cell.

"Looks like it's your lucky day, pal. They dropped the B&E charges. You're gonna need a new place to stay, though."

He handed Mike the eviction papers and the few belongings he had come in with. Mike took them without a word and tucked them in his back pocket.

"We're gonna have to confiscate those," the guard said as he motioned to the little black pouch of tools Mike had used to pick Lesley's lock. "But if I were you, I'd be looking for a new hobby anyway."

Speaking of hobbies, Mike's weeklong stint in jail meant that he had missed both Wednesday night glass blowing and Friday night tap lessons. The deep-seated anger started bubbling to the surface: he had missed the "Tea for Two" session. But Mike was a master of control, and the only indication was a slightly pained expression which could have easily been passed off as gas.

"Hey Buddy, you OK?" the guard said when he saw the look on Mike's face.

Mike simply grunted as he opened the door and stepped out into the sunlight. He hopped the next bus into town, but he didn't go to the storage unit where the contents of his former apartment were being held. Instead, he headed for the nearest furniture store.

He flipped through the rack of hanging rugs and considered his options. A sales associate walked up and offered her assistance.

"Are you looking for anything in particular?" she asked.

"Yes," he responded without elaborating.

"Well, what is your décor like? Traditional? Modern? Contemporary? This one is very bold, while the pattern on this one is a little more organic."

"I need something big."

"About how big? These are all 5' x 7.6'. Will that work in your space?"

"Big enough to wrap up a body."

The sales associate looked shocked at first, but then laughed nervously.

"Well," she continued hesitantly. "I guess if he … or she … isn't too broad-shouldered, you could wrap them up long ways like a taco."

"Good idea," he said. "I'll take two."
