Not actually connected to any religious body!

It's true, the parson was once a religious figure. According to the old Laws of England (seriously) the parson was the man who held control of the parochial church, and it was the most honorable of titles. Naturally, such an important man would instantly be insulted by ye olde louts, and so it became a sort of joke that you could give the parson the least comfortable chair, in hopes that maybe he'd find it hard to stay and then, after he left, you could get back to wallowing in sin. Ha ha, ha ha, what excellent humor.

HOWEVER, this Parsons Chair is NOT made for the religious parsons! It's actually based on designs from the 1930s, from Paris, from the Parsons School Of Design. That's right. It's MADE TO BE COMFORTABLE. And it's also made to look good, and simple, and attractive in any room of the house. Even those rooms where you wouldn't want an actual parson to go.

So do not worry that this chair is going to make you question your faith, whatever it may be. Do not worry that this chair will poke you or make you feel unwanted. All you have to worry about is that maybe your guests will use it so often that you'll never get a chance to sit it in. And what's the easy solution for that? Why, buying more than one, of course!
