You've given them love, shelter and encouragement for 18 years. I guess a microwave and some storage containers really does make sense. Unfortunately, you failed to give them those cooking lessons, so the only thing they'll be consuming with that flatware is Ramen noodles. Hey, you can only do so much.
They really are an underrated source of nourishment, if you ask me. You can eat them crunchy sprinkled over a salad, or cooked in a delicious flavor packet-y broth. Just make sure you don't get those flavor packets mixed up with your freeze-dried Sea Monkey packets. It's easier to do than you might think. Have you even seen how disorganized dorm rooms can be?
