TC of 1200 is meaningless if not 100% cotton.

Agreed. Give me cotton linens or give me death! (Ok so that might be taking it a bit far but I only buy cotton linens for my bed.)

1200 is marketing Hype. BBB were apparently sued for misrepresentation.

TC of 1200 is pretty meaningless, regardless. Anything above 400 is BS.

"Cotton rich = 55% cotton, 45% polyester." How would you react if other products you bought were labeled this way?

"Meat rich" hamburger = 55% beef, 45% sawdust.

"Petroleum rich" gasoline = 55% unleaded gasoline, 45% old flat beer.

"Latex rich" paint = 55% latex paint, 45% industrial effluent.

"Peanut rich" chunky peanut butter = you don't want to know.

I'm pretty sure this is unethical or illegal: Polyester doesn't have thread counts. Threadcounts have been used for at least 50 years to measure the density of cotton fabric. Using threadcount to compare in a synthetic blend is misleading and unethical to say the least. Woot has gone downhill, hiding the country of origin of its goods, and now repeatedly misleading folks on things like this use common indicators of quality in a very misleading way.
