Add a pop of color to Alumilite Casting Resins with Alumilite Dyes. Dyes can be used in the clear resin to make a translucent or pigmented colored casting, or added to Amazing Clear Cast for dynamic bar top coatings and river tables. This line of translucent dyes in standard colors reacts/cross-links chemically with the resin to achieve beautifully translucent cast pieces with no worry of leaching or color ever coming out of the cured piece. In most instances, dye can be added up to 5% by weight, although you should always use the smallest amount to achieve the desired color. Consult instructions to learn what part (A or B) to add dye to. White, black, and fluorescent dyes are not completely transparent as they contain some filler. Used in small quantities, they do not affect the transparency of the piece. If used in higher percentages, they can add opacity to the cast piece. Translucent colors available at Woodcraft include: Green, Yellow, Red, Blue, Orange, Violet, and Ocean Blue. Opaque colors available at Woodcraft include: White, Black, Florescent Red, Florescent Yellow, Florescent Green, and Florescent Pink (some translucency can be achieved by adding an incredibly small amount of these dyes to clear resin). NOTE: 1 oz. bottle dispensing tip must be cut to dispense dye. Tip may be removed completely.
