You will need:
Directions: In a small bowl combine Donut Mix with 7 ounces of water, stir with a spoon until blended. On a floured surface, roll out dough to 1/4" thickness, using flour liberally on dough. For Beignets, cut into 24 square pieces. For Donuts, on a well-floured surfact, pat dough out into 1/4" thickness. Use a glass or cookie cutter to cut out circles. Poke dough in the center to make donut "hole". Place pieces of dough in skillet in an inch or two of oil preheated to 375°F (at medium heat). Oil should be hot enough for dough to pop to surface in 8-10 seconds. Fry until puffy and lightly golden. Drain well. An electric skillet works best. While hot, sprinkle generously with cinnamon-sugar mixture and enjoy! |
