FAQs:
How often should I drain the portable air conditioner?
Our portable air conditioners are designed to be drained at the end of the season. The units will use the water collected from the humidity in the room to cool the condenser (the hottest part of the appliance) allowing for maximum efficiency. However, in extreme humid conditions the unit may require to be drained more often.
My Portable Air Conditioner is not blowing cold air. What can I do?
If your Portable Air Conditioner is not blowing cold air please check the following: check that the unit temperature setting is lower than the room temperature; check that the fan is blowing warm air from the back of the unit; check that you hear the compressor kick on after start up (could be a 3 minutes delay); check that the filter is clean and unit has not error messages.
Do portable air conditioners work without the hose?
No. Our portable air conditioners are designed to work by expelling hot air out of the back of the unit using the 4-foot hose supplied with the unit. The air conditioner can also be installed semi-permanently in a room by drilling a hole through a wall. In this case you should follow the instructions provided in the user manual. User manuals can be accessed and downloaded directly from our website.
Can I extend the hose on my portable air conditioner?
We do not recommend that you lengthen the exhaust hose as this can damage the product. The hose supplied is about 4-feet in length. Before buying please ensure that you have enough space to position the portable air conditioner near a window or door.
