Timor is located between Australia and Sulawesi, where it used to be controlled by Indonesia until a few decades ago. It was then that USAID grants helped to develop the rural economy and create coffee as a cash crop for local growing cooperatives.

This coffee is produced by Esperanza Garcia. It was grown at her family farm in Achuapa, Nicaragua. 2013 marked the first time these beans were ever exported outside of Nicaragua. This natural processed bean has very low acidity, candied almond sweetness with an oaky finish. It is a rare, nearly forgotten varietal called "Indio".
