Very small 1"±1/4“ mesh holes let hay out slowly and make the horse have to work harder and greatly reduces the amount of waste on the stable floor, improve digestion, less opportunity for boredom and inactivity, and reduce your refill time. One thing has to be consider, that due to the holes are so small, few impatient horse may chew mesh holes bigger, then you will have to repair it by retie the knots.
