A pet snake can be a wonderful companion that respects you and deals with you as an equal. But the second it thinks it gets to be in charge- pow. That snake will be a coiled muscle of impudence and doom and you'll never win it back. Hair is the exact same way. Except, of course, hair doesn't make it's own venom.
