Norpro Canning Essentials Boxed Set, 6 Piece Set

This is a handy little set if you know someone who is beginning canning. I bought one as a gift, but then one more for myself -- I needed a new jar lifter anyhow. This one is ok, not as sturdy as my old one. I probably won't be using the tongs too much -- their 'fit' in my hand isn't comfortable. The funnel is a funnel -- nothing great there. I love the magnetic lid lifter -- what a neat idea! And the "bubble tool" (not sure what else to call it) is handy for checking head space when you are learning -- after awhile, you will do that just by looking. But, for getting air bubbles out of a hot pack, nice! All in all, you get some useful tools at a very nice price -- then later you can decide if you want a better quality of any of the particular items.
