Would not recommend purchasing, since the heating element is not reliable.Pros:Nice aesthetic compared to other fondue setsThe brushed stainless steel stays relatively clean lookingEasy to clean - the entire pot can go into the dishwasher tooNice and wide mouth of potNon-slip feetTear away magnetic cord - if someone accidentally tripped on the cord the pot will not go flyingCons:No matter what setting you set it at, the way the heating element works is that it’s super extra burn-your-cheese hot or off. Depending on which setting you pick increases or reduces the time in between that it is off. We set it to a 4 as the ‘optimal’ setting. The cheese fondue would be cold for about 30 seconds , then burning for 30 seconds, and do that over and over again. You’ll have to be there stirring it the entire time when it switches the heat back on, or your cheese will burn. When the cheese is not burning, it gets cold and starts to firm up.Given the above issue, having a double boiler option may solve the problem, but an additional bowl is not included.The set comes with metal fondue forks, but it says you can’t let them touch the inside of the pot or it will scratch the coating.The cord is very short (for safety)
