My Favorite Pan
By Dutchrub on Reviewed in the United States on December 9, 2015
Holy cow, I love this pan! I bought this pan specifically because I was tired of squeezing pork chops and chicken breasts into my current largest pan. It was too small to accommodate all the ingredients my hungry husband and growing son crave. Rather than continue to double my time cooking by cooking the extra entrees immediately after, I searched high and low for a quality pan that could accommodate his appetite. This puppy does the trick beautifully. I have not cooked a dinner in her that she couldn't handle. The pan is deep, taller than my usual skillets but not quite as deep as a wok. Still, I can easily do stirfry and hibachi in it, big, heaping helpings full. The nonstick has been flawless these first few months, and it hasn't gotten a scratch yet despite frequent use. The extra handle--I didn't think I'd need it, but, man, is it useful. This is a big pan, and sometimes all the food gets heavy. The extra stability is wonderful for a little gal like myself. Incredibly easy to clean, more of a challenge to store, but I would hang it in a closet if I had to. This is my absolute favorite pan, and I would recommend to anyone and everyone.

Nonstick finish didn't last!
By Lisa K on Reviewed in the United States on July 20, 2013
I've had a series of inexpensive frying pans over the years, all of which last a year or so before the non-stick finish was worn out. This time I decided this time to spend a little more and get a better quality one. I've used this Anolon pan half a dozen times now, and like it - but I don't love it. The main handle is comfortable and the second handle is very handy for moving a heavy skillet-load of food. Both handles stay cool to the touch, eliminating the need for pot holders. The nonstick finish (inside and out) is very nice and cleans up like a dream. It heats up nicely, and browns food well. What I don't like about it is the sloped sides. The outer rim is 14" but the inner base is only 10". I read some of the other reviews, which explained that this is a desirable trait, but I don't like that the base is so much smaller than the outer rim. When I'm cooking something like hamburgers or pork chops, I find the base to be too small. I also can't find a lid to fit the pan, which allows food and grease to spatter my stove top.Overall this is a great quality pan and one I'll enjoy using. But when it's time to replace it, I'll make sure to find one that has a bigger base.Edited January 2014: We've had this pan for six months and used it probably 3 times a week, mainly to fry eggs. I was always gentle with it, used a nylon spatula and washed it with a non-abrasive sponge. After 5 months, eggs started sticking badly. Even with cooking spray they stuck to the pan and made a mess. I recently replaced it with a $20 pan from Walmart. I won't spend extra on a "nicer" pan ever again, because the non-stick finish doesn't last even as long as that on a "cheap" pan.
