Livingware Memphis 16pc Set

These are the best dinnerware set i've bought in years. They are bright, colorful, light, retain heat, work in the oven and the microwave, easy to clean (dishwasher and sink). They are fresh and summery! I've always hated having too much dinnerware in the house so when I change, I change the entire set. I previously bought (from another online store) an off white nautical themed dinner service 4 piece set that was supposed to be bright, refreshing and clean (shells on the edge) but was grossly disappointed. The dinnerware was heavy weight, noisy to eat off and they were an ugly cream/cement color and not white so missed the boat entirely on my theme. For months I've been saying i'm getting rid of them and donating them to charity and when I saw this Corelle Memphis set, I loved it instantly. It had everything I wanted in terms of colors, brightness, style and I knew Corelle of old from when I was a kid - lighter weight plates that somehow never cracked (I even remember dropping one as a kid and it bounced!!). As a kid in Ireland my mum had Corelle dinner sets for years which we all loved (my dad still insists on using his one remaining plate of the last set we had). Mum has always been sorry she switched to the set she has but as it was expensive she felt obliged to stick with it and use it (I plan on fixing that issue for her soon!) Corelle quality is just the best for a family. If you've got kids they love it as they are lighter weight plates. Its also very reasonably priced so you arent worrying about your best china (I dont even have best china!) I love this set and highly recommend it. I'll get the matching glasses next and maybe even more plates!! The small plates are side plates so don't expect to put a full meal on them but the dinner plates are very generous in size as are the mugs. I also like the fact its more realistic for portion control to use these than oversize bowls and plates in other sets. Corelle Rocks!!!
