Cuisinart Deluxe Electric Can Opener

I ordered this Cuisinart Can Opener along with their 4 Slice Toaster, the Toaster is Wonderful I only wish I could say the same for this Garbage Can Opener. First off if you plan on opening any type of Large Cans like Whole Tomatoes or canned Peaches you had better stand by and "Hold your Hand Underneath the Can, because if you don't you are going to end up with a huge Mess to clean up after the Cutter comes to the End of the Cut, and the can Falls down spilling all it's contents on your Counter Top, Another problem We have encountered is some Cans not being Cut because the Small Gripping Gear Wheel that turns the can does not make contact with the Lip of the can causing it to not Turn at all, or Cutting the can a few inches and the stopping, and some cans will work only if you tear the Paper Label off, now we are having trouble with even the Small cans of Tuna and Pet food not staying Locked in resulting in the cans dropping out of the Opener after it reaches the end of the Cut.
