3 Qt. Colander - Orange

I absolutely love this colander! I no longer needed a large colander, so I ordered the 3 quart size. It is the perfect size if you are cooking for 2 to 3 people. The drainage is very good. It has a good weight to it, is sturdy without being heavy. I recommend hand washing the colander to maintain the beautiful color. I ordered the magenta and am so pleased. It is a vibrant, happy color. It looks exactly like the pictures posted by the seller. I keep it on the counter or table with baked goods or fruit. The 3 qt size holds up to 9 apples.This colander is pricey, but it is very well made.

This is a handy strainer. but when I was a LOT younger and hadn't had this lesson to learn from, I ruined one of these by using it as a steamer. That enamel will not hold up to intense heat, it will discolor and eventually rust. But I learned and this is my plan, to hand wash it for the most part. I love the base, will stand without problem in the sink. The main reason I bought this other than I loved the style and I like the orange color. it's a good halfway orange, doesn't lean to yellow or red. ( I'm picky *L*) it's sturdy and It will no doubt last for years, as I have multiple steamer types and won't be tempted. but for now, it's a fruit bowl *L*

I needed a new colander and fell in love with this one ! Obviously does the job , BUT is really pretty and I’ve used for table and counter decoration

I was so excited for this colander! Loved the color! The size! Looked like good quality!But after only a few uses, it is RUSTING! I first noticed it underneath & thought ok at least not touching my food - but now I’m seeing from top rusting in the little holes!!!! 😱😱😱😱😱Do NOT buy! Should be made NOT TO RUST!!! My food is touching that rust now!!! 😤😡🤬

Colander is well made and it’s red to match kitchen colors.

(Updated) Well, it was pretty but the bloom is off the proverbial rose. I bought the red and yellow to match a small blue antique. Sadly it didn’t hold up. It started rusting around the bottom rim a few months back and now that’s into the base as well. And the yellow is starting to show signs too. Before you ask, no it was never soaked or in a dishwasher, and used 1-2 times per month. Maybe this is normal for a metal colander, but I was hoping for years not months.(Original review at purchase time)Exactly what I wanted. Classic look, yellow pop of color, durable. The 5 is big so I got a smaller one in red. Otherwise, it’s a colander.

I took off one star for durability, which I think is fair. An enameled kitchen product is not as durable as stainless steel, of course, and this item is not quite as durable as several enameled le Creuset enameled pots that I regularly use. And the strainer was not repeatedly heated and cooled as the pots are.That said, this strainer is an exact replacement of one that I've had for well over twenty years. The finish on the old one had become stained and dull. That said, this strainer is not nearly as pricey as the French cookware. I am pleased that I could find this replacement. If it lasts even half as long as the original I'll be content.

this colander is one of my favorite things in the kitchen. the color is gorgeous, and it looks so pretty wherever it sits. the enameling is great. it wasn't packed very well and got bent, so I had to rig a fix of the silver-metal rim. thus, it doesn't look exactly like the picture but I pounded the rim all the way around to make it uniform and I'm happy with the one-of-a-kind appearance (and amazon gave me a nice discount to keep it, though damaged. I'm pretty handy, so took the deal).I use this mostly when washing vegetables or fruit, to keep them off the bottom of the sink, but I also keep it on the counter filled with mangoes (am beyond thankful to have the world's tastiest mangoes growing in the back yard) or avocados or potatoes, etc. can't wait until I've finished re-doing the kitchen and it's as pretty as all of the stuff that will be scattered, throughout! love love love this colander.

The picture to the right is the 1.5 Qt. Colander by Reston Lloyd to the left is the 3 QT by Now design. Both say turquoise. The one to the left is the color I wanted but the quality of Reston Lloyd is much more heavy duty!

Bigger than my ordinary colander, it's sturdier and man, this thing is really pretty! I put a hook up so I could hang it over the sink instead of hiding it in the cabinet!
