As always, outstanding set from Corelle
By LegoDude on Reviewed in the United States on June 9, 2010
I purchased the Corelle 4 Dots pattern less than 2 years ago, but had only got a single order for a place setting for four. Of course, now that I wanted to get more, I found it was discontinued, and I could not find anything, anywhere on the internet, for sale anymore other than some cups. So I looked at what's out there, picked these, and will give away my other set. These are pretty much exactly what I had prior, just the different pattern. But this is my third set of Corelle now, and I've had nothing ever chip or break on me in my house, even with a 6 year old being rough putting them in my granite sink... I did have one bowl broken in transport, but that's due to a lack of packing protection on the small bowls. Both sets of plates were protected. There's a nice, solid feel to these, no hesitancy in stacking them or pulling something out from the middle of a stack. As with any Corelle pattern, the colors have a slightly faded look, I assume it's part of the process that helps protect them during normal use. Since I've not had anything fade on any of the plates I had previously, it apparently works. Solid, attractive, generously sized, and almost 50% off the normal price when I ordered them, can't go wrong with that combination.

Quality is lower than expected
By DeeBee on Reviewed in the United States on April 8, 2013
I have been using Corelle (Corningware) products since the 90's when we had to replace our heavier Duralex dinnerwares. I like that its durable as well as lightweight. I would bet you're likely to lose one of your plates by misplacing rather than breaking (or chipping) them. Over the years, I have seen its designs change to adapt to the times. Pros: It's made with the same durable material I have come to know. I only got this a few weeks so I will update this review if it breaks. This particular modernistic design (simple lines) is great to pair with most design concepts. Your food is sure to stand out on the plate (looks good most of the time) Cons: The plates do not stack on top of each other well. This would mean that the plates are not made in the same way. Also, there are some bumps underneath some of the bowls, which I think are production defects? I would have expected this deformity/irregularity in a handmade custom dinnerware but this? I assume it would be manufactured in a production line with some quality criteria. I would return this but mailing this back is more inconvenient for me. I am writing this to warn others that may have some great expectations of getting a corelle product.
