Great tooth brush - not a choking hazard...
By LBG2012 on Reviewed in the United States on April 14, 2012
This is the best! My daughter hates letting me brush her teeth & wants to do it on her own - but she really just chews on the other brushes so nothing is accomplished. This brush is perfect! My daughter loves it, & when she chews I know at least her gums/teeth are getting massaged/cleaned. It soothes her sore teething gums and the bristles on both sides get top & bottom teeth just by her chewing so if she doesn't let me brush it's still ok. Also, since it's a short handle she can't go too far back and gag herself like she has with other brushes. I was hesitent to buy it after I read that this is a choking hazard in one of the reviews. Not true, and I'm also a doctor. It's large enough to be safe in a supervised environment with an infant or toddler. An older child might be able to get it into his mouth at which point yes - then its a choking hazard ... but hopefully by that age he's using a regular tooth brush! I've gone through 5 different brushes with my daughter & finally found one that works. Now she looks forward to brushing her teeth & I know at least we're taking care of her teeth until she's old enough to really brush properly!

Smells like chemicals and leaches color
By dmo on Reviewed in the United States on March 29, 2025
Another case of “things from Amazon that smell like perfume that shouldn’t.” By now I’ve bought a dozen or so things, like stainless steel utensils, other baby tethers, and this baby toothbrush, that smell like sweet floral perfume right out of the package and I have to deep clean them to get rid of whatever residue is making the smell. Upon cleaning this toothbrush with baking soda and vinegar, the liquid turned pink, the color of the toothbrush. So in the end, it still smells like weird floral perfume and now I know it leaches. As a mother trying to raise a baby in a toxic world, this is just another toxic product to NOT put in your baby’s mouth. Do not buy this.
