A first class product

This table was not too hard to assemble and it sits perfectly on my tile floor. I did have to press hard to make sure the pieces were firmly seated before trying to put the screws in, but once I did that the holes lined up perfectly. I put it together by myself and it was not that big a deal -- it took me about a half hour. The work was well worth it because this table/rack looks awesome. The issue with odd sized bottle not staying in the rack is very real, but I found a solution with Built Wine Bottle Drip Collars, Black and Cranberry Red, Set of 2. Slip one of these collars on the bottle and it keeps it from slipping down and having the bottom of the bottle come out of the ring. Works perfectly for those odd bottles. I recommend this table very highly. It's a bargain at the price.

Not worth the money

Unless you are on a budget, invest in a better quality wine rack. I had my sights on a larger 45 bottle wrought iron rack that lists on Amazon for $182.00 Due to space limitations I chose this one. Part of my decision was the fact that this item had listed for $179.00 and was being sold for $62.00 Not a bad deal on paper! The package did come fast, delivered way ahead of schedule, and was free of shipping damage. So far so good. Item is described as "black iron" and for the original list price I expected something better than run of the mill pig steel. Upon opening the box, and removing the components for assembly, it was clear that the metal is not mad of iron, but, a really low quality steel. Of the four mounting pegs under the table surface that the legs mount, one was bent so as to not allow the side to slip over both pegs. This was not a shipping defect, but rather a quality (made in China) defect. Had to break out propane torch, heat, and hammer peg into position as to allow assembly of finished product. The metal cooled quickly, another indication that I was not working with iron, but, I was able to commence with assembly. The product assembly, discounting the 15 minutes to rework metal, took only 10 minutes. The cheesy metal parts do not line up correctly, of the 2 metal bars that are affixed to the bottom for stability, there was almost 1/8" difference in size, ie...one was longer than the other, edges of the frame are not square, and it wobbles. If it weren't for the fact that my wife likes it, I would demand a full refund. If I had payed the "original" asking price, I would, without question return it. I am not sure if this item ever retailed for $179+ or if that was an imaginary number made up to make the item discount appear as if were a better deal that it actually is. Not even worth $62.00 with free shipping. Only positive thing I can say is that the seller shipped impeccably fast.
