Double boiler review.

I was using a double boiler that consisted of an outer container for the water and an inner container fitted into the outer one and suspended by a collar about half way down its side. The problem with this arrangement is that heat was conducted into the inner container where the two containers touched at the collar. This caused a ring of heat that was much hotter than the hot water bath. The Bon Jour doesn't have this problem, pours well, has a rounded bottom for stirring, a whistle that alerts when it needs more water, a water level gauge and generally is a well made and thought out utensil that does its job well.BonJour 1.5-Quart All-In-One Double Boiler

It's heavy duty, and works well with milk. I used to have one of these long ago and it did whistle when got up to temp. I was expecting this fancy one do the same.
