Excellent Cutting Board that Should be a Central Feature in Your Kitchen
By David Martin on Reviewed in the United States on April 26, 2025
I bought the extra-large board five years ago, and it has been a permanent fixture on my counter and in daily use since (for everything, including cutting/chopping, bread making /slicing bread with serrated knife). I have not been especially vigilant about caring for it, occasionally using food-grade mineral oil or Wood Butter to condition it. It remains in excellent condition, with a few scratches from constant use, but with a smooth surface. The board is reversable, but I haven't felt the need to turn it over to use the opposite side. It is prone to slipping on my granite countertop, but I was able to stabilize it with a silicone mat. I'd say I would buy it again but I don't think I'll have a need to replace it--it looks like I'll have it for years, maybe until I stop cooking altogether.

Stained teak? Really?
By Michael J. S. on Reviewed in the United States on March 30, 2025
It seemed like a nice board, but when I oiled it with clear mineral oil, a dark stain came off onto the cloth. I did not expect it to have been stained. Real teak should not require a stain. And what was it stained with? Is it food safe, whatever it is?
