MidWest Reversible Paw Print Pet Bed

I actually have a love-hate relationship with this dog bed. It would have received 5 stars but for one thing: it sheds as bad as my dog does :( That's saying something, since I have a lab. The things I love about this bed: Pro's: 1. it's soft 2. it's plush 3. It's machine washable (and does great in the washing machine) 4. it's thick, but not too thick. it's just right for comfort Con's 1. The thing sheds - and I mean SHEDs. My dog just went through blowing his puppy coat, and between his fur everywhere (we were buried and no amount of daily sweeping, brushing or anything could get it under control until it was all - or mostly gone). Intermixed with the volumes of fur, were piles upon piles of the cream fleece material. I can't be sure which filled the vacuum more. 2. it really holds onto the dog hair. even after washing and running through 2 dry cycles, the only really successful way to get most of the hair off, is to vacuum it. Vacuum before washing and after for best effect. 3. because it's thinner than a true dog bed (not bad, but it's more of a mat) - the dog can easily have it in a ball in his cage or get under it. With a puppy it's never laying the way it should. at least not most of the time. on the whole, if it weren't for the piles of fleece coming off of it, I'd have given it 5 stars. The other issues aren't really a problem with the product, just observations. I do love how easy it is to clean. With the puppy, the 2 times we caught him peeing in his crate, the thing absorbed it like a sponge, which meant he wasn't covered in Pee (YEAH!) and we just pulled it out, threw it in the wash, and wiped the bottom of the cage with a disinfectant wipe. Good to go! (I bought 2 mats, so just switch them out as needed). Mostly I love it!
