The NYTimes Wirecutter review said that this bin had passed the "throw it down the stairs" test. That's why I bought it – and then shipped it packed full of stuff across the country and back. It made it without a scratch or a crack... unlike the bin that is this exact same style, bought at Costco, which shattered after its cross-country travels.

Lid Top is Annoying

Wasn’t a fan of how the lid tops fit together. It would take a couple of tries each time to close. I guess if it would be used just for storage it might be okay for others. The bin was quite sturdy though.
