Honeywell HT-900 TurboForce Fan

I bought this to supplement another small desktop fan that I kept carrying all over the house with me, and unfortunately, this one is inferior in almost every feature I needed. PROS: The price was unbeatable (around $16 at purchase time), and if you need a strong fan that generates tons of airflow very close to where you have it plugged in, this is the fan for you! The angle can be adjusted, to point straight forward all the way to straight upward. CONS: The shape is awkward, like a chubby little round jet engine, and the footprint frustratingly large for a "small" fan. I have trouble finding a surface to perch it on--particularly because the cord is so short. It will barely reach from any outlet to any nearby surface. The power/setting knob is also awkwardly placed at the back of the fan (vs the front or side, where it would be easily reachable). There are three power settings, but it inexplicably goes straight from Off to High. The airflow is powerful, which might work well in a garage or workshop setting, but it's too windy and loud for an office (it's too loud for my upstairs office during Zoom meetings, and too windy for my sewing room, blowing thread, paper, and fabric all over the place... because I can't move it far enough away from the power strip where I have to plug it in). The fan itself seems strong and it's a sturdy little unit, but it really wasn't an ideal choice for my application. Alas!
