I love both the size and weight

In an effort for improve my health, I replaced all of my old, scratched non-stick pots and pans with cast iron. I bought a few frying pans from Lodge, but no matter how many ways I tried to cure them, the food stuck when is cooked with them and clean-up was a hassle. The I decided to try the Cuisinart Enameled Cast Iron pot. I love both the size and weight. I use it frequent to braise greens, make soups and even as a Dutch oven. It works beautifully and clean-up is easy. One caution, when it is full such as when used as a Dutch oven, it is every heavy. I look forward to using this beautiful pot for years to come.

This pan does not have an enamel coating inside

Despite the description saying this pan was enamel coated inside, it is not, and everything sticks terribly. $130 flushed down the toilet for a pan that is extremely difficult to clean. I’ve had a crazy month and finally got to looking at returning it and the return window is very short, so I can no longer return it. If you want a pretty pan that is super heavy, expensive , and useless, this one is for you.

I had the smaller 10" enamel pan from cuisinart that I use for very important dishes but it wasn't big enough. This is big enough for my thanksgiving stuffing or a real cornbread without actually being too big. The lid is great for keeping things warmer longer and this should be a must have for any home kitchen

I use it a lot. The bottom got scratched on my gas burners and also scratches when washed. I’m careful and take good care of my pots and pans but it Scratched the surface with a little muscle and a “non-anrasive” pad. Goof off gets grease off really well. I Hand wash with soap and hot water. It cooks great and inside washes easily.
A monstrosity of limited use…18 lbs of useless iron.

Inexplicably, the interior enamel surface is textured, unlike the smooth exterior. I assumed that the interior surface would be smooth, like an enameled “Dutch” oven that I have. This rough interior surface means that it’s useless for sautéing, as food adheres to it. I can’t think of an application that it would be more suited for than the Dutch oven pot that I have.
