Not a bad little shelf
By Keith F on Reviewed in the United States on December 8, 2010
Not a bad little shelf. Instructions are a little skimpy. A single sheet with numbered pictures and some arrows. However if you lay the parts out and look over the pictures first, its not to hard to figure out assembly. I posted a copy as a photo that may help out before purchase. Construction looks good, well made and acceptable quality. The legs come individually bagged so they don't get scratched up in transit. All small pieces come in separate sealed plastic bags. Watch out for: The supports, black snap on pieces that hold the basket and shelf up, there are two halves to each, you can't see them in photos here, but there is one set under each corner of the shelf or basket. They are tapered slightly (Not obvious in directions), so you need to put the skinny end up, so when the shelf or basket slide over them they act like a wedge and keep it from sliding to far down. They have asmall ridge on the inside that fits into the groves on the legs. Also the legs, they are marked/ringed off about every inch with a slight depression, I guess for the supports to latch on to. One end of the legs has a larger section, which is the bottom end of the legs, just make sure you screw the feet all into the legs on the end with this larger section so all the rings will be lined up evenly. Nice features: -Shelf and basket are adjustable to different levels. -Legs have leveling feet, they can be screwed in/out to level if necessary. I actually found this useful so I could put a slight tilt on my assembly so that the shelf unit leans back agaisnt the wall, because of the baseboard at the bottom of the wall. -Stackable. Tops of legs have caps, but if you want to stack another shelf, remove the caps and screw in double ended bolts supplied, then another shelf unit can be assembled on top of those. It just can't be stacked, each leg will need to be screwed on, making for a solid construction. I have one shelf with basket at the bottom and a second shelf only unit assembled on top of it. -Open wire shelves won't collect lots of dust, plus let light though so you can see better whats in the basket or under it. Drawbacks -Open wire shelves allow small things to fall through. Revised July 2014: Still in use. Still have a set holding my fish tank. However my other project changed and I tore down the floor to ceiling stack. After some time I found another use for some of them. I'm using two as coffee tables near my futon/bed. Perfect size. One holds my Lenovo ultra book and the other holds my iPads and android phone. Being small and lightweight I can move them around to position them in front of me depending which device I'm using. Design lets me easily strap cables to legs or shelf bars to keep wires out of the way. I plan to use some of the others and build a multi level plant stand, I'll post photos when I get around to it. I noticed they now offer a set of wheels. I need to measure but those might help raise one up to a better desired level. Worth looking into. I love that these are reconfigurable so that as life changes, they can be reused to fit your needs.

Flaking chrome paint, flimsy shelf "ribs," and non-rubberized feet--not as nice as other available shelves
By Dorothy on Reviewed in the United States on June 26, 2015
In the past, I've bought similar chrome shelves like this, but they were made much better. The feet on these are not rubberized and look like they could scratch hardwood or tile floors. Also, as I was assembling them, the chrome paint was flaking off. Also, during assembly, use care which way you orient the shelf if you're stacking two or more tables because they are not perfectly square. Make certain the metal "ribs" are all running the same way. Additionally, I used a rubber mallet when assembling, and the ribs on two of the shelves bent. I didn't hit them that hard, but they bent. The old chrome, stackable shelves from that "other" company (that begins with a "W") were much sturdier, easier to assemble, and didn't have paint flaking off. What I planned on using these shelves for didn't make it worthwhile to try returning. They'll be put away in a basement closet. I learned my lesson, and will use that other company's shelves for more visible storage areas.

Great quick shelving and easily assembles. Sturdy in its entirely, but the individual wire welds are a bit flimsy. Stacked 3 for a laundry room closet.

Having trouble keeping the legs in when I pick it up. Other than that, it is a nice little table.
Versatile unit, great price, pretty good quality, excellent value altogether.

This is an versatile little unit for a great price. I had a column of space between an upright freezer and a wall I wanted to use for storage so bought four of these to make a shelf tower. They are plenty strong - for those of you wondering, a 100 lb person could easily stand on the exterior rails of the shelf unit. The interior wire grid of the shelf unit has rather large spaces and finer wire. For example, a 1.5 gallon Costco laundry detergent bottle causes deflection of the grid slightly, but is still securely held. You could put 4 of these on the (same) shelf and it would hold them, but the interior would be bowed a bit. The spacing between wires is 1.25-1.5 inches wide, so if you were to use this as a night stand, don't plan on putting little jars of nail polish on it - they will fall through! Easily solved with a placemat, tray, etc.
Nice, and price is right

Nice shelf, especially at this price. I had a slight problem with assembly, but when I re-read Keith's review realized that I had not noticed the plastic supports (the one that come in two halves and interlock at the top of the leg) were tapered on one side. Fixed it, and the shelf was together within 2 minutes. It wobbled slightly when empty, but I made sure it was snapped down and the screws were tight, then used the adjustable feet to even it on the closet floor. Once it had stuff on it, I could see it was quite sturdy and could handle plenty of weight, and it does not wobble. This is perfect for organizing a messy closet area.
Very good product.

Very surprised as to the quality and construction. So far, the shelf is holding up very good and will buy from this manufacture in the future.

These went together easily and are VERY sturdy. I stacked 2 together to make shelving for shoes and accessories in a narrow closet. It's almost a shame that something so attractive is hidden away, but I do get pleasure seeing my pretty, organized closet!
Great quality shelf, will def buy more!

I bought this after buying the Whitmore shelf, I had previous success with the Whitmore brand but this time around I wasn't impressed, so I searched around Amazon and found this Honey Can Do brand. Arrived in no time with Prime, out of the box it seems to be a couple notches above in quality to the Whitmore and more of a matte finish then a shiny chrome. Assembly is straight forward if you have ever assembled any wire shelving before. The only thing I'll note I didn't see any notes on the legs but there is a difference one end is for the feet the other is for the sleeves, just have to look at the lines to figure it out. Once assembled the shelf seems very stable I can't find a weight limit but I'm going to use it as a small night stand for a lamp and a few small things.
Would not buy again!

These tables are not strong, easily bent, tapping with a hammer. I bought two of these for my covered, entryway, statues. The first table I put together went fine. The second table was a pain. If you happen to put the plastic tabs on the wrong way ( there are no lables) you can end up with a problem. These plastic ends go on the part of the leg, that goes into the hole on each corner of the table, to lock the leg in place. I had to use a tool to grab the plastic tabs, that can easily tear. (then you cannot lock the leg in). The plastic screw top that hides the screw in part, at the top of the leg/table for attachments can easily break off.
