Epilady Esthetic - Facial Epilator

This works! If you have execs facial hair that's a little more than peach fuz this product will work. If you have a lot of thick facial hair it will not work. This is made for fine hair. It is really tempting to push it on your skin, DO NOT. It is really tempting to sit on a stubborn spot. DO NOT. After using this I successfully removed the execs lip hair and chin hair, but some of the short finer peach fuz was left behind, which is fine. Your hair grows in stages. If you find it didn't get all the hair don't worry. Just wait a week and try again. Do not go over the same spots more than once. This is literally plucking the hair. If it can't hold onto the hair IT WILL grab your skin. Be gentle, go quickly and make sure to pull your skin taught. If you've had plucking and or waxing you'll do fine with the sensation. It stings a little after use. If you experience pain after use you did it wrong. It should be slight irritation. It will be painful while you do it, but it SHOULD subside. I highly recommend this product.

I purchased this product to remove facial hair. I have chin whiskers (very unbecoming on a woman of any age) and lots of the soft downy hair all over my face. I originally purchased another product and returned it without even using it when I realized it was not suitable for removing facial hair. This product is specifically designed to remove facial hair. It appears to be modeled after the little spring with two handles that manually removes hair as you bend the spring and twist it in a spiraling motion to grab the hairs and pull them out. Well, this product doesn't work that way at all. As near as I can tell after trying the product and examining its functionality, it vibrates its curved spring. Apparently, the vibration causes the spring wires to (occasionally) separate and come together enough to grab a hair shaft. Theoretically, once the hair shaft is grabbed, it will be pulled out as you slide the implement over your face--against the way the hair grows. The fact is that the vibration may cause the spring wires to open and grab a hair, but just as quickly, they will let it go without pulling the hair out. So you get many little painful tugs of hair with very few hairs actually being removed. After reading a number of review about this and other products "designed" for this purpose, I have decided to continue finding fine-quality tweezers and using my 7X mirror in the light of a sunny window to remove the unwanted hair from my face.

The product didn't remove my coarser facial hair. I was disappointed and I read the instructions and to make sure I was following them correctly but the device did not work for the few coarse hairs. It did work for the very fine peach fuzz on my face but I wanted to remove all the hair.

When the original Epilady for the legs came out, my Mom and I both used it. Now, neither one of us has hair on our legs; the Epilady caused the hair to stop growing. I love never having to shave anymore! So when I saw that they now have one for the face, I decided to try it. And it's just as good as the other one. Hopefully, this will, eventually, keep the hair from growing there, too. I don't find that this product hurts. I can feel the hair being removed, but it's not a painful thing for me. I've read through some of the other reviews, and I may have some helpful hints. 1) Pull the skin tight in the area that you're going over. You need to get the hair into the coil as well as keep the skin away. Doing this will prevent you from having the skin pulled up into it (which doesn't hurt but does feel odd). 2) Slowly but continuously. You need to keep the unit going over the area in a continuous motion. However, don't rush it. You need to allow enough time for the hairs to get caught - it's not doing that if you're moving it too quickly. 3) It works best if you use it daily for the first week or two. Doesn't have to be a long time each session, but doing it every day will allow the shorter hairs to grow just enough to get caught - without allowing them to be so long that they're unsightly. 4) If you're finding that it's not removing the hair properly, you may not be allowing the coil to get to the hair. Be sure that you're holding it such that it's flat against the skin (put your forefinger on it like you're pointing at something and then rest the unit on your face such that your finger is parallel to your face). If you're not holding it so that the hair is allowed to get in there, it's not going to work. Remember that what it's doing is providing an "automatic tweezer" type of removal - hair has to be in there to tweeze. 5) Be sure that you're going in all directions. This is why going in a circular motion is helpful. Hair grows at different angles on your face. Therefore, you need to catch it in the way that it comes out easily. This may be why some reviewers are finding that it's not removing a particular type of hair. If you're not finding that it's getting the hair in one area of your face, it could be that you're trying to remove it in the wrong direction. Try going in the other direction on the hair, and it'll catch. This tip also helps with any discomfort you may have with the product. If you're trying to remove hair against the grain, you're going to feel it more than if you're pulling it out in the direction that it grows. I do recommend this product. If it's used correctly, it does work. And, if it proves to be as great as the original Epilady, I won't have to use it forever. The hair will stop growing in this area!

I usually use a hand-held coil that easily pulls out all hairs regardless of their thickness as long as it can grab them. I thought this could just make it easier in that I wouldn't have to roll the thing around on my skin manually. This battery operated epilator moves slowly and goes right over all hairs pulling out nothing. Even if there is a hair that I can see, the epilator will not pull it out. It will pull it, but doesn't remove it. Even at $25 this is not worth the money since it does nothing. I do not recommend.

Not really good at pulling hairs but works great at pulling loose eye lid skin.

I’ve been trying to figure out what to do with the peach fuzz on the sides of my face for a while. It was very soft light peachy blonde color and I felt like it was extremely noticeable, at least to me. I didn’t want to wax or to shave. I had owned an epilady for my legs years ago and had used it till it died. So I decided to try this. I’m so glad I did! It works great and I’m very happy with it. But there are somethings you should know One… use it at night before you go to bed to allow any redness to fade before you get up Two…. It does pull but it’s not bad. It feels like a little zap is the best way I can explain it. You will quickly get used to it. Three. ..I use it about every other day for just a minute or two. That’s usually enough time to hit all of my face to keep it fuzzless. I typically use it after brushing my teeth at night Four… and this is the IMPORTANT one ….Dont try to do your entire face the first time you use it. That’s what I stupidly did and it looked like I had tangled with poison ivy the irritation was that bad. My peach fuzz was a lot heavier than I realized so please start in your lighter areas and work your way up. It took about a week for the irritation to go down when had I been smarter I would have never had an issue. After that first rash of irritation I’ve not had it again. . It's lightweight, small, does a great job. And is a reasonable price. BTW. I’m a 70 yr old woman, fairer skin with reddish brown hair.(well it was that color before it went grey..lol) Edited to add My sister and niece came to visit and I showed them this. (They are girly girls compared to me ) They both tried it, LOVED it and each immediately got on their phones to order one! They both thought it was great.

It is not all that effective. The same area needs repeated applications and the machine still doesn’t get all of the hair. I have very fine hair.

I was excited to get this but disappointed in the results it gave me. Gets some of the hair but not all of the hair. Be careful around lose skin. Be sure skin is tight where you use it. It even missed some of the long hairs. Maybe it will get better in time. It did get some of the hairs.
