Cat tested...Crazy cat momma approved!!
By M. Tallada on Reviewed in the United States on May 10, 2012
I LOVE this product! Basically, it is a purple glove with sturdy rubber nubs on the palm side and thumb. The wrist has velcro so it does fit most hand sizes. I find that it will probably be easy to wash when it gets to that point. I have two domestic long haired cats and one domestic short hair. This product works well on all three very different coats. Logan is my DLH and he has very fine silky fur which gets knotted so easily especially under his arms and legs. He is also not a very nice boy when it comes to being groomed. I used this on him three different times and he LOVES it! No biting and purrs up a storm! Orion, my DSH has thick fur and seems to shed the most out of all of them. She loves it so much that she rubs on it without much effort from me at all! Also her coat is shiny afterward! The secret of using this effectively is to do short little dash strokes across the coat. Then I like to do one big swipe across the coat and up the tail base to tip. Also, I feel this isn't ripping their fur out or cutting it like some other products. I don't feel comfortable using those kinds of products on them because I think it does bother them and they don't appear effective. I have the zoom groom and it works okay, but they don't seem to like it and I'm afraid of leaving patches in their fur. I don't know if I can say you can get rid of all your other grooming tools, but I will say this is a great product for an everyday grooming situation. If the cat is extremely knotted it probably won't work as effectively as a small toothed comb, but it does work for a cat that has no previous knotting and basic everyday upkeep of the coat.

Nice Glove, Cat HATES It
By True on Reviewed in the United States on September 25, 2010
Well, I wish I could give this a higher rating, because it seems to be made well and works at pulling excess fur off, but my small shorthaired cat absolutely HATES AND DESPISES this glove. I started out letting her rub against it, like she does with the old hairbrush that is her standard grooming tool, and immediately she jerked back and I got the "WTF?!?" look from her. I started lightly and gently pulling it down her back, and she cringed away from it like I was trying to comb her with a glove covered with needles. It did manage to pull off a decent amount of hair, but when she started howling, I knew it was all over for the "Love Glove." For my cat, it was more like the "Hate You With The Fiery Passion of a Thousand Flaming Suns Glove." If your cat is at all delicate or sensitive, like mine, it might not like this glove, I think the rubbery 'nubs' are a little too hard for some cats. I'm going to send it to my Aunt, whose cat is much bigger and has a thicker coat, she's used these types of gloves before so perhaps she'll have better luck with it.
