This is a great little piece of furniture, and very reasonably priced! The things that are good about it -* The wood is actually sealed and finished, unlike a lot of the junk you find online these days.* NO SMELL! I've gotten so much stuff from Amazon & W*yfair recently that just reeks of formaldehyde. Glad to see some quality.* Easy assembly* Sturdy* Pleasing color - warm but not too yellow* The space underneath has a high enough gap to put low-lying sneakers or sandals, which is what I wanted, so altogether it holds 9-12 pairs of adult shoes, depending on feet size and how much you want to squeeze in there. To be safe, expect 9.Some people reported that they split the wood during assembly. I can see how - the screws are probably longer and more robust than they need to be, and the wood is thin. Be very careful that your screw is well-aligned when it goes in, don't over-tighten it, and you should be fine.One thing I wish it had is little stickers or end-pieces to cover the screw heads, but otherwise, 5 stars.
