Operation is foolproof. You just set your bottle of win in the top, select what type of wine it is from the menu, and wait. As with appliances of this type, the time it takes to chill a white wine from room temp to drinking temp can take awhile. I keep our whites in a wine chiller and use this chiller like you would use an ice bucket. it keeps the wine at the optimal drinking temperature.

Very loud. Sounds like a cooling fan that runs on high speed 24/7. It does not cycle off; ever. Not practical to keep in any open space due to noise. Had to return it day one. Does cool the bottle as labeled though. No complaints about seller thus far. Awaiting refund.
