Exact same Oneida pattern

I’ve been looking for this set to match mine. Finally found them. This is the full set of silverware just as beautiful as the day I bought my first set. They are heavy stainless steel with a mirror finish.

Good flatware, poor sizing

They are heavy, rigid, and sturdy. The finish seems to be holding up well. I like the appearance They are basically a quality piece, however..... It is almost like Oneida has never designed silverware before. The butter knife handles are so heavy compared to the blades (which are pretty sharp btw), that they fall out of things if you set them in some baskets or cups with the handles up. The butter knives are by far the biggest disappointment. The blades are way too skinny and pointed. Its like buttering bread with a plastic throw-away. Nobody in their right mind cuts with a butter knife, except maybe their toast or sandwich in half, which does not require much of a pointed tip. Least effective butter knives I have ever seen. I saved 2 of my old wide blade round point butter knives. I get sad when they are both dirty and i have to try to spread peanut butter with the new knives. The big forks are nice, the smaller forks are almost the same size. Its fine, but the smaller forks could be a bit smaller. Have to looks twice to tell them apart unless they are sitting on a table set. The small spoons are fine, but the larger table spoons are not wide enough. They do not work well for soups or chili. They should provide some soup spoons in the set. I much prefer larger table spoons then a dedicated soup spoon that is often too wide. The table spoons not being large enough was another huge disappointment. This was a sturdy looking set, but its dainty in all the wrong places. Hey Oneida, try hiring a real engineer with a man's hands and eating habits. It seems like your designs are created by fashion designers and were never tested at a real table...or even by buttering bread.
