Very sturdy and comfortable to grip. For me the tongs serve double duty - I am short so frequently use these to pull items from a kitchen shelf I can’t reach. They grip well, are strong and don’t flex with weight of item I am getting down. They perform every other kitchen function they are intended for with no issues. Perfect for me. At first I thought the price was high, but with the enhancement of silicone tips and that they are well constructed I don’t feel the price is out of line.

Poor tip design that’s too wide for targeted gripping

They feel great in the hand but don’t grip as well as I had expected. They’re a nightmare for working with thin pasta like spaghetti. I do appreciate that the tips won’t scratch my pans. I’d also caution to not use a sharp knife to cut a piece of meat that you are holding down with the tongs. That’s how I ruined my last set of these when I sliced off the tip. Fortunately they still sell them and it was easy and fast for me to order another pair.
