Worth every penny!

After reading other reviews, I seriously debated getting this dispenser. I am so glad I did! We made almost 350 cupcakes for my daughter's wedding, and the thought of how messy it would have been and how long it would have taken without this tool makes me shudder. The cupcakes were filled red velvet in black and white damask liners. When we practiced without the dispenser a month in advance, we realized that the tiniest misplaced drip or overflow would stain through the liner and look awful. That is when we decided to "splurge" on the dispenser. Yes, it is purple, but it is not something to display in the kitchen. The color makes it easy to spot in the back of the cabinet, where it ends up between infrequent uses. True, it does not hold an entire box of mix, but when you are making 15 batches it doesn't seem to matter. It easily dispensed a semi-thick batter, never dripped, stayed in one piece, worked perfectly, cleaned easily, and turned a difficult task into an easy one. If I had only used it the one time it would have paid for itself, but now I even have it for the little projects.

Pancake prepping made easy!! Updated - quality is questionable - handle broke after less than a dozen uses.

Works perfectly. I prep large quantities of pancakes and freeze them for a fast breakfast. This streamlined the process tremendously. Took a few uses to get the timing down so I ended up with fairly uniformed pancakes. Originally I gave this product 5 stars. However after minimal use, the handle broke. The clear plastic broke at the bottom, it is still attached at the top, the spring loaded red part, that actually retracts to let the batter flow is still intact, but with the broken handle, it only retracts 3/4 of the way. I love the concept, but am disappointed in the quality, it should last longer than 6 or 7 months, being used once every 2-4 weeks. It has always been hand washed, my dishwasher has been out of commission for over a year :(
