Perfect size and shape. They seem a bit fragile but they haven't broken.

Gave these as a gift; the recipient loved them. They seem slightly thin at the top edge, but they haven't chipped or broken. Nice quality, and they're a good size and shape.

Concur - Thin Rim
By Dogatron on Reviewed in the United States on September 29, 2012
Attractive glass, and appears to be made by a reputable German manufacturer. I bought it for form and function, and to gulp more brew in a single go. The glass has no heft, so holding it in your hand will not create the impression of sturdiness. The bottom is not weighted, adding to its lightness. The rim, as others have said, is very very thin. It has the look and feel of a glass movie prop. I suppose it takes getting used to, but this is not what I was expecting for the price. Hand washing it can be nerve-wrecking. Sitting out in the deck during autumn - when a sudden gust might slap you silly, this glass may not remain upright. Also, hope I don't bite into it when a 6-pack of Blue Moons kicks in.

Great Beer Glasses

After spending a few weeks in Germany with family, and developing a love of Weissbeer, I found my Weiss's missing something upon returning home. I have invested in numerous other specialty beer glasses for my IPA's, but didn't think that something like a weiss could benefit from a special glass. Boy, was i wrong. Having the right glass wear makes all the difference. The nose comes through a lot stronger, even on something like a Kristal. The overall mouth feel improves as well. All in all, these glasses are great, and while the do require hand washing, are well worth the effort of owning an maintaining them, as the really do improve the overall experience of enjoying a nice beer.
Perfect for wheat beers!

Love the height and volume to handle a range of beer sizes. The curvature of the glass is indeed perfect for wheat beers. Must exercise caution though, it is a delicate glass!
Very nice glasses. Made a perfect gift

Very nice glasses. Made a perfect gift. If I had to buy again would get the same brand but a smaller glass. A bottle of beer only fills the glass about halfway. Should have done the math beforehand I suppose.

Great glasses for hefeweizen - traditional shape with modern lines. These are the right size for German bottles, which are in the neighborhood of 16 ounces, but a bit large for the typical 12 ounce American bottle.
Might break any second

These are incredibly thin. I always feel like they're about to break at the slightest bump. They're hard to store because they are so tall too. I never use them unless we need extra beer glasses.
The glasses were very good for Weizen Bier

The glasses were very good for Weizen Bier, but the glasses are very thin, and the tops are extremely fragile. I would hand wash them after use, and they both broke with barely a tap on the sink faucet within a year. The thin lips are great for the beer, but be warned that they are very fragile.
Highly recommend

I bought these for my boyfriend who is a big beer lover. Great buy and make beer at home feel as though we are in a fancy craft house! Only downside is you should hand wash but quality is great. I have learned this is the best glass for hefeweizen but we do use for others too just because I like the look so much and he indulges me. We put them in the freezer and they hold up perfectly.
Scrachy thin rim

We love Spegelau's wine glasses, so we decided to try the beer glasses when our cheapo Crate and Barrel ones were broken. But we regret the purchase. Here is why. The rim is much thinner than the typical commercial ones. The top of the rim is flat instead of rounded like the commercial ones. Further, the rim is curved inward at the very top (see the picture). These 3 things combined create a problem -- the rim is scratchy on the lips when one drinks beer from the glass. It is really unpleasant to use it. If not for its good look and nice size, I'd give it one star.
