Worth the money and fun.

It is worth the money as my cat, who eats fast and always wants more, finds this interesting and likes to hit the containers to get the dry food. Have not tried to clean it yet as it is still only a week old. It is a fun toy and I recommend it if your cat likes a challenge to get more food. He still goes through this dry food quickly. he stays until it is all gone so I only fill it 1/3 of the way.

My third Trixie purchase.
By IslandSandy on Reviewed in the United States on January 3, 2013
I really hesitated on how many stars to give this product but have chosen after a few days use to give it a five and will update. I have two Trixie products already that my food inspired two year old cat of 15 pounds loves and caught on to immediately. However, this one is a bit more complicated for him. This product is very well made and I can see why the $29 price tag. It does require assembly and I would suggest reading directions thoroughly before putting together. Initially you will have only one beaker installed till your cat learns how to use this. It comes with a variety of lids for the beakers but you also begin with no lid on the beaker. Again, it is dishwasher safe. We have a very large coffee table in our living room and it has the Trixie 5-in-1 activity center and the Trixie snack box and this for the cats to play with. After having for about four days my cat still hasn't gotten the hang of this. He immediately checked it out and understands there is food in the beaker. However, even at 15 pounds he cannot get the hang of tilting the beaker to drop the food. (FYI: My other two year old cat is totally disinterested and while she likes the other Trixie products will have nothing to do with this.) As time goes on I will update. He will go to this several times a day and mess with it and I will help him drop out pieces of food but he cannot get it to turn over on his own. He is a very patient cat and doesn't get frustrated so I think he will eventually get it. UPDATE: Unfortunately after two months I just put this away. We will try later on and see if he gets the hang of it. He cannot turn over the beaker to drop out the food. He tries but it just doesn't work for him. Update... neither of my cats ever got the hang of this product. Is stored away in a box with all the other products they didn't use
