Sargent Art 12-Count Oil Pastels Assorted

If you are looking to get these for a young child, then these should work just fine (just know they are very messy). If you are looking to get these for an art project that you will spend hours on, I can confidently say that you would have better luck with almost any other brand. They are very low quality overall. The colors all look very different, but they do not all have the same level of softness/hardness. These are good for coloring and doing things abstract without worries of blending or using other media types, but if you are wanting to mix this with other art mediums, or really just use this on something that is not your typical piece of paper, there will be a big struggle on your end. For kids I would say this product is fine, but for any other use, I would say your money is best spent on other oil pastels. These work more like messy crayons more than oil pastels.
