I prefer the plastic over the glass to reduce breakage. At first I thought was cheaply made compared to the metal I had before but actually it does the job effectively.

Much smaller than expected and broke within days.

I bought these for my restaurant and was surprised when they arrived and were much smaller than the 3 cup description led me to believe. I bought 6 of them, within 1 week all but 1 had lost the screws holding in the bottom screen. I have yet to be able to find screws at the hardware store to fix them so as of now spent $140 including shipping to have the ability to make 1 cup of coffee at a time. I was excited about the unbreakable glass, it didn't say anything about how easily everything else broke apart.
