Looks good, very happy

So far so good. I'll say up until now, Tigger had been using in the medium size of this same crate without the table. He goes in with no problems and hasn't torn anything up inside, or attacked the crate itself. He's a growing boy and the medium crate is getting a little tight. So we moved I'm out of the bedroom and into the large crate with table. It arrived today, setup was easy no tools required. The crate has an side and end opening, and has an extra end without a door if you want to close it off. The table has a nice finish, it's not a high end piece of furnature, but it's a nice finish for a dog crate. It arrived well packaged and no damage. For the cons, has no feet and the outside bottom has the same finish as the rest. I got a set of rubber stick ons from the hardware store to keep the finish from grinding into my tile flooring. Also the wood too was so well packaged in foam and cardboard corners the finish had some slight ware in the corners. I touched it up with a brown sharpie and it looks perfect. As for the size, we got the large, and there is plenty of room for him to stand up completely and enough room to move around. The pad in the picture was separate. Overall for the price I'm super happy.

Good for the price

Let's face it - you're looking at this product because of the price. So did I. I had a smaller (24 inch) Midwest crate with a hardwood enclosure. Since I just got a second dog, I needed a larger crate. If I had purchased the MIdwest products, it would have cost me well over $200 and more importantly - waiting until the enclosure was in stock, if ever. This Merry brand product was WAY under $200, including shipping. Before purchasing this crate, I did read the reviews. I read between the lines, but the crate was pretty much what I expected: 1. The gauge of the metal used to make the crate is thinner than the Midwest crate. 2. There is only one latch on the doors - the Midwest crate had two. 3. The wood cover is comprised of a couple of slats of wood, held together loosely by the weight of the top cover. 4. The removeable front cover for the tray is held in place by three tiny magnets that wouldn't hold a few papers on your refrigerator. CONCLUSIONS: 1. If you have a dog that struggles in a crate - do NOT buy this crate. Get something solid. 2. If you have sedate dogs, the crate is sufficient. I have two pugs that have been crated their entire lives. They happily go into the crate for the small price of a treat and sleep the day away. This crate works well for them. 3. Don't put anything breakable on top of the crate. Shifting dogs will cause items to fall over and fall off. Even if your dog just sighs and plops against the wall of the crate. Stuff falls. 4. Put the crate together where you want it to stay. You cannot move it without the cover falling apart. 5. It's cheap, but the wood veneer is nice. It looks pretty. I have it in a corner between two chairs.
