I got a great deal!
By xochi718 on Reviewed in the United States on June 27, 2012
I was looking for a kalorik food processor in black but I didn't want to spend a lot of money for it. I got this one for less than half what other companies charge. It is a refurb, but I've used it and it works great. I'm proud of my purchase and I love the processor.

Ghastly
By Lars Finkelstein on Reviewed in the United States on June 23, 2013
Glancing at the instructions for any surprises, I got one. The machine could only run 30 seconds at a time because it is "not a professional model". Tried it out of curiosity and sure enough at 20 seconds of empty / unloaded running I could smell hot insulation. Not a little smell, it filled the kitchen. Then waited 1 minute as recommended. Well heck, it's probably just burning off some manufacturing left-over gunk. Try it again. Ran the whole 30 seconds. Smelled like it was going to catch fire. Waited the required 1 minute a recommended, while I thought about this symptom. It happens I'm a designer of stuff like this. My guess is that there was a design miscommunication somewhere along the line and somebody ended up holding the bag filled with, say, 250,000 of these little horrors that had this dangerous defect. And they did what some marketers do in such a bind, with millions of dollars of worthless product: They "feature" the defect and then ship the product with a straight face. And right after that, they change their company name and try something else. Maybe an electric blanket.

This product is easy to assemble and easy to use. The instruction manual is also easy to read. I tested all the attachments and they work great! The motor base is so easy to clean. The only thing I wish it had was a better knob for the motor. It seems a little cheap and flimsy and I wonder how long it will last. I would recommend buying this product to anyone.
We love it, well built and quite.

Buy a Cuisinart Instead
By Rosey287 - Reviewed in the United States on December 7, 2011
I bought this as a relatively inexpensive appliance for a house we have as a seasonal rental. I haven't even used it yet, and I hate it. The plastic is very cheap, and feels like it would crack if tapped on the counter too hard. It clearly states that all the plastic parts must be hand washed (it would probably melt in the dishwasher!). It's extremely complicated to put together (each of the 7 blade assemblies has its own set of instructions). Not counting the base, there are 13 little pieces that came out of the box for this thing. The quality of plastic is such that I'm not sure I want it touching my food, as goodness knows what kinds of chemicals are in it. The blades, which you have to snap in and out of the "blade assembly" before you can put it into the bowl, are sharp all over, not just on the cutting edges. The blade metal feels cheap and the edges (where you handle them, not the cutting edges) have a sharp finish. The risk of cutting yourself putting this thing together and taking it apart is quite high, as evidenced by the warnings all over the plastic the blades came in. And if you don't cut yourself, you'll probably crack the plastic, as it doesn't fit together well - you have to push on it to get things to snap into place. I have a Cuisinart that I received as a wedding gift 15 years ago, and all I've done is replace the plastic bowl (which was still usable but quite scratched). It's solidly made, snaps together easily, you can change the blades out in about 3 seconds, and has only a few parts that disassemble. And all the plastic parts are top-rack, dishwasher safe. Unfortunately this is a final sale, so I'm stuck with this thing. You get what you pay for. Spend the extra $50 on a Cuisinart (you can find one on sale or on one of the "flash sale" sites) - it's a fantastic machine and well worth the money. This thing is a piece of garbage.

LOVE this item

This product is the best thing I could ever own in my kitchen. It grinds, chops, kneads dough, minces meat, blends like no other food processor, at an affordable price. Only thing is, you need to earn to use it, and read the manual to the letter before you run it. the bowl and the driver needs to be well clipped to the motor, or it will not run. Thoughtful of the manufacturers to do this to ensure your safety and durability of the product for years to come. The slicing disc in the device is what I loved the most! I use it to slice onions, capsicums, sausages, carrots etc for my quick Chinese dishes. The dough kneader too works well. All you need to do is be careful to add the right amount of water to the flour. The potato fingers blade can also be used to slice up carrots, peppers, beets etc to give to your toddler with ranch! I absolutely love this product and have been using it for 3 weeks until yeasterday when I placed the bowl on a hot plate by mistake, and alas, it melted and will not longer latch on to the motor! I hope the company will order some bowls soon so my almost dead processor can be brought back to life! All in all, I woud highly recommend this product for every kitchen, especially stay at home moms, who can do almost every cooking chore with this delightful and good-looking piece of work in the kitchen. The product is value for money and just the right size to store on your counter-tops!
Great for shredding hard root veggies
By Natasha M - Reviewed in the United States on November 30, 2010
I bought this Kalorik Food Processor mainly for shredding root vegetables such as carrots and beets because I hate doing it by hand. Just tested the first batch - it worked great, three huge carrots shredded in a minute (I had to cut the thickest pieces). I like the powerful 500W motor, many attachments including citrus juicer, and black color (does not stain). It looks sleek as well, and matches my other black appliances. It's a little bigger than I expected, and it also left a few thin chips of carrots in the shredded mass, but I am OK with it. I hope the shredding blade stays sharp for a long time. Great buy for the money I think.
