High quality and just the right size - 8 inches!

This Chicago Metallic spring form pan is just the perfect size for cheesecake. Its smooth and nonstick, inside and out, with extra high sides and a firm spring latch to hold it all together. Like all spring form pans made in China, this pan DOES leak if filled with WATER. However, it does NOT leak lined with crust or filled with cake batter. Cheesecake bakes perfectly in this pan, no hot spots or unbaked areas, then the spring form edge comes right off when opened. I also recommend Dr. Oetker Baked Cheesecake Mix 13 Oz for a very fine BAKED cheesecake, without the WORK. Easy to throw together, this cheesecake is wonderfully creamy, firm, and delicious! It can stand on its own, but is even better topped with cherry pie filling. For this mix you will need 1 egg, tlbs each sugar & butter, and 13 to 16 ounces cream cheese. Its so easy! and makes an impressively high baked "New York style" cheesecake - the REAL thing! And you can make it the night before, leaving the ring on til you are ready to finish it the next day. So yummy!

It leaks batter and does not correctly seal

This pan is definitely not the same quality I’m used to from this company. I had this brand about 4 years ago and it held up nicely and was great quality but this one doesn’t even seal correctly, leaks(batter-not water) and the spring closure doesn’t work properly. I would look elsewhere for a decent pan.
