Breville Hot Wok Silver

I love Breville products but this wok, not so much. As other reviewer‘s mentioned, the walk is very bulky and heavy, but that something I can live with. My biggest issue was temperature control. The first day I had it I was making a stirfry and the suggestion in the manual was to preheat the walk up to quite a high temperature. I did that and it was so hot the oil was smoking and the whole kitchen filled up with the smell of hot burning oil. I turned it way down to start stirfry in the chicken but it was still too hot. I ended up having to cook everything on almost the lowest setting possible so that the items wouldn’t burn or overcook. I tried it again a couple of days later to cook something else and the same thing happened so I feel like I can only set it on a one or maybe a two without burning up the entire meal.
